Hatchetfield Women Appreciation!

@hatchetfield-women-appreciation

A blog for appreciating Hatchetfield's female characters!

Hello! This is an appreciation blog for the women of Hatchetfield, as I believe deserve a lot more attention and solo content than they get! My main is @cinderellaenjoyer for those interested

I will be mostly reblogging solo content or multiple female character things, as well as posting about them myself!

However, you're absolutely free to come into the ask box and talk about your favourite female Hatchetfield characters, complaints you have with how the fandom (or even canon) treats them, and even female OCs!

The discussion around Hey, Melissa would be way more productive if instead of "are Melissa's actions forgivable" we looked at how fans react more harshly to horrible actions in stories when the perpetrator is a woman. Melissa is objectively a bad person because what she does is bad. She also has a reason for doing what she does because it's a response to the objectification she faces as a woman.

Melissa is a fictional character in a story that is meant to be uncomfortable, it's not misogynistic to say that she's a bad person. The misogyny is in the way people tend to fawn over male characters who do horrible things because they can acknowledge that it's only a story, but judge female characters as if they were real people, even though it's still just a story.

Genuinely we need to talk about my girl Charlotte sweetly RIGHT NOW. Especially the implications of the new choreography for 'tied up my heart'. At points she's seen being like pulled in by sam via like leg/mind powers and I think this is GREAT foreshadowing for letting it out as it sets up the fact you can be influenced by pokey before you are infected.

I love both episodes a lot but there is something to be said about people are way more torable of Honey Queen (Episode where two women try to harm and eventually kill each other) in comparison to Hey Melissa (Episode where a woman harms two men and eventually kills one of them). That post about people seeing horror where it's a woman inflicting it onto a man as 'too far' in comparison to when it's a man inflicting it onto a woman or a woman onto another woman rings true as always.

Here's a compete list of everything I've ever been afraid of From the age of five to, oh, let's say just the other day Maybe things I misremember, maybe things I just forgot But as far as I can figure, this is pretty much the lot Make of it what you will, make of it what you will

'Cause it's birds and heights and movie credits Crowds and puppets, dying in a fire Being washed right out to sea Losing all of my front teeth Being buried half-alive Bugs that burrow deep inside Wild dogs, and things like that Domesticated mice and rats Not all of them, just their feet Or that my whole life could be sleep Ferris-wheels and certain blues Oh, but mainly losing you These days mainly losing you

Kitty Cat Club Redesigns!

Left to Right: Krissy, Aubrey and Mina.

I redesigned the club in Gacha Club a while back, but I wanted to redo those designs in Picrew this time. They're literally so cute what do you mean they're literal murders.
