Looks like Florida Democrats are doing what they do best: nominating candidates who are much too liberal for the state. We saw it back in 2018 with Andrew Gillum, and tonight, it's deja vu with Angie Nixon.
Do you worry that as the Democratic Party continues to shrink, it will only solidify this pattern of Progressives winning Dem primaries? Feels like it will end up being a self-reinforcing cycle.
Well Vindman wouldn't have won either in the case of Florida, but he'd have lost by less.
I've been saying for years that the Democratic Party base has gotten very progressive, and now we're going to see what happens in competitive races against Republicans.
