We can try and invent discourse as a joke all we want but nothing will compare to the real home grown takes on here such as hating landfillslop consumerism is actually Catholic

Someone will point out the disproportionate popularity of White male characters and people will come out of the woodwork to go 'that's not racism or misogyny it's just this character is more interesting/hot/relatable' as if the very notion that White men are more interesting/hot/relatable than women or characters of colour isn't literally racism and misogyny. Thanks for proving the point!

"Disproportionate"

Wow, it's almost like the majority of fans are white people and they best relate to characters of their own race, just like you're doing.

it makes you think how many health conditions which allegedly "only emerge during adulthood" are actually conditions which parents deny medical attention to their kids for

Something that I realised when I first started getting more into transfeminism that really made it click for me is that even when people say "trans women are women", they rarely actually mean that. Even a lot of trans women don't fully believe it when they say it, even if they don't realise.

We're still expected to act like a third gender. Sure you fall more into the group of "woman" than the average born male but a lot of the time there's still an implicit understanding that you are to not push too hard on being a real woman. If you talk about the misogyny you face, the ways you enjoy engaging with womanhood, or start happily taking up space, people will often get weirded out. They'll look at you funny, or they may verbalise disgust. A trans woman might be a woman, but it gets awkward when it becomes apparent that the woman in question genuinely believes it to be true and doesn't just want to be humoured.

I fell into this trap for a long time. I would feel uncomfortable even calling myself a woman sincerely because it felt like I was doing something wrong. I was encroaching. I was pushing my luck with what was acceptable for a pseudo-woman to do. If you are a trans woman who feels like this, like you're a separate category of person than just a plain woman, you have to realise something. If your joy makes people disgusted or uncomfortable, that's their problem. Make them uncomfortable, make them squirm (assuming it's physically safe of course). You owe these people nothing. You are a woman, full stop. Embracing that fact without shame or asterisks does wonders for your self esteem.

categorically one of the worst feelings in the world is when someone is annoying you really really very extremely badly but theyre completely harmless and also clueless and you absolutely cannot tell them because you will ruin their day and life and you cannot bear that so you just keep suffering even though your personalities mesh just about as well as trap beats and country music

there is a very specific type of political enlightenment when you allow yourself to acknowledge bad people can be attractive and funny and intelligent and still be bad people because those things don’t quantify morality

“i’ve never met a pretty racist” “republican makeup” etc etc is all just enforcing the idea that being conventionally unattractive is a moral failing. stop doing that. it’s an actively dangerous idea to spread

“I would die for my kids” your children want an apology

your made up scenario isn’t real (shocker) and makes no difference when your kids are starving for your acknowledgment of the pain you caused them. you’re only performing the role of a good parent, without having to actually do any heavy lifting

its awesome how the internet lets you essentially pretend to be white right up until you do something to piss people off and then suddenly everyone seems hyper aware of the fact that you're not white. this is why part of the reason ive never posted a single picture of my body or face anywhere on this website and its kind of really infuriating and revealing sometimes too what people will say to you when they still assume you're white. but whatever, this is a joke blog, so ill just leave it at that i guess. sucks

like yes femboys and sissies and crossdressers are not treated well by cisheteronormative society, obviously. it is labeled as a deviant behavior.

but i need you to understand that, especially if you are trying to group them all with transfems under the umbrella of the Transmisogynized Object - that is, if we are going to analyze this through a lens of transmisogyny treating them all as fundamentally variants of the same archetype - then those who acquiesce and call themselves men, those who do not assert or claim womanhood, are going to be treated better than those who do. because they are not women and misogyny is real, and also because they fundamentally reaffirm to the transmisogynist what they already claim: that the transfem is a man in a costume.

transfems do not, of course, get treated like men, and this is apparent even in the disparity of treatment between transfems and femboys, sissies, crossdressers. these labels all get thrust onto transfems, but those who claim the labels, who claim manhood, get treated better than those who resist them. a man dressing like a woman is treated as a deviant behavior yes, but nothing is more deviant than the transfem being a woman. i thought we all agreed that the ability to say "hey, i'm not one of those trans women" was in fact a privilege used to sidestep transmisogyny. you have to understand this shit if you want to understand transmisogyny and be an actual competent transfeminist.

White people have something wrong with them

I can't stop thinking about that Baldwin quote about white gays' sense of injustice at not having the world on a plate like they were promised as White Children. You'll never unsee it. Same with white neurodivergent people oh my godddddddd

the quote you're looking for!

[ID: text reads, "Their reaction seems to me in direct proportion to their sense of feeling cheated of the advantages which accrue to white people in a white society. There's an element, it has always seemed to me, of bewilderment and complaint. Now that may sound very harsh, but the gay world as such is no more prepared to accept black people than anywhere else in society." /end ID]

YEAH that's the one
