OHHH THIS IS PEAK ACTUALLY OMG-
I got a 6th sense to wake up from my sleep randomly at 3:30 am and I think it was to read this actually.
I love more stuff that makes Bad a walking contradiction and enigma :3 buttt, it makes sense! Having a divine punishment, potentially messing it up, the self sacrifice…
Bad being so affected by grief and attachment as an immortal because it wasn’t supposed to happen in the first place. (Him losing his colours, kind of his sanity aswell-)
This is really interesting to think about on a more soul/mental level too.
If !Bad killed his guard before it was actually time… Oh! Wait- Didn’t Bad say one time that the guard he killed knew that they were going to die?? (I guess divine intuition smth smth God knowing everything smth smth)
But like, If !Bad killed his guard before it was actually time, he’s kind of repeating history in a sad way that happens with sin in the bible. A repeating factor ig. (Or maybe not repeating history, but continuing a trend? I forget Bad’s age timeline in comparison to the universe ngl but we roll. Will have to check back on the bbh timeline doc after this-)
For bible context, there was the og Adam Eve in the garden who ate from the tree of good and evil and got kicked out of the garden, there is Moses who sinned and didn’t make it to the promiseland, there was Samson who trusted his lying gf a little too much and got crushed by a building…
ANYWHO! Basically all of this to say is that a repeated factor is people going against their vows and promises for their own personal desires, and then getting punished for it.
An asterisk on this though is that in the New Testament with the whole Jesus stuff, now people can be #freepassed for breaking their vows and they can ask for forgiveness without divine karma or anything- E.g. Apostle Peter betraying Jesus 3 times after Jesus was arrested (basically just going “jeses? Idk that guy lmaooo” after promising he would neverrr)
So with this, it begs the question, whats so different about !Bad that he can’t be absolved of his sin when asking for forgiveness? Is it because of his mission that he’s chained to Earth? So even if he was forgiven, he has a task to fulfill that overpowers/overrides it? Is it because with his original falling, he was cast to a place lower than humans but above demons? This weird inbetween limbo of existence where Heaven itself turns a blind eye to you because you go against their views and perfection they seek, but they still pay attention enough to kind of watch you?
and I swear I made an analyses of this in a random comment that is buried between the sands of time so now I gotta remember it.
I think the thing about !Bad is that his sin piles up each ‘life’ he lives. Andddd I forgot why I thought this (trust I had a good reason probably maybe) but like, if Bad’s mission literally is to bring death upon a whole bunch of people, I mean… Oh! Wait nvm. That’s like a thing. I forgot. The Bible has like designated angel killers or smth, huh. Hmmmmmm.
This one is kind of debated, but in exodus with the 10 plagues, there is this chapter where death “passed over” the homes of anyone without lambs blood on their doorframe. So like, it’s debated whether or not that was the angel of Death or like a metaphor for divine judgement.
But Bad’s not an angel of death, he’s a horseman of death.
ohhh I am thinking so many thoughts but it’s 4 am and I already know that none of this is coherent :D
if the whole thing is that !Bad has a mission, went to early, and is kind of running rampant trapped to earth, having a sense of purpose and vague guiding, but being too confused to get it right-
It would explain him making connections and relationships tho. All things considered, Bad should be more like a “tool” in the sense of carrying out a specific task it was made for and not deriving from that purpose. Instead !Bad is more of a “rules are suggestions and imma fudge around and find out” type of I guy I think.
!Bad eternally trapping himself to earth for a mission that was never supposed to last long enough for him to make any actual significant connections to any human, and then making it centuries upon centuries long all because he couldn’t stay in a box-
Is such a !Bad thing to do omg. Literally can’t do anything right ever. #shaking him with my mind. I would notttt be able to live myself if I knew that basically all of my eternal suffering and torture was my own fault hahah, good thing he’s immortal and can’t even really kill himself!
mrrrrrrr. !bad trying in vain to prove himself worthy when he’s already fallen short from the beginning with his first mistake of killing the guard.
What I don’t get is how his self sacrifice ties into him getting a second chance… I mean, I guess it was done in a good faith lens, but the whole thing wassss kind of inherently selfish. Well kinda idk, depends on how you look at it. BUT THE SCALED WERE BALANCED!! Which means that with every one of !Bad’s “deaths” his good and evil is measured again. But he is never given the chance to get back into heaven because with his original sin of killing the guard, his bad overpowers the good. Well, it’s either the scales reset with every death he has, or that one self sacrifice was enough to balance the scales of a lifetime of running cults, killing a bunch of people, living a life of fulfilling selfish desires etc etc.
he did get another chance anyways though and he chose his kids, but then he got a chance after thatttt and got another chance.
The thing I don’t get about !Bad is that he so clearly falls from heaven, getting rid of his divinity and holiness, and he sins, but he’s also still actively on a mission from heaven to complete the task of killing a fourth of the population or smth idk. Ughhhghghhh curse me for tryna thinking logic for stupid Minecraft roleplay whatever.
anywho, bad being chained to earth is really really cool, bad never actually being to hell is canon in my brain now, andddd there is a high chance when I wake up in the morning I will reread this, question wth I was on at 4:30 am, delete this, and then rewrite better words that make sense but for now I ramble
