My older brother is an artist, and I asked him to analyze the cover drawing. I think yall are going to like this:

The spider is hanging or suspended from above by the thread, like it's trapped. The spider's head has petal-like pattern, like roses, and its legs have thorns. The spider looks like it's made - its body is covered by thread too. The eight-pointed star symbolizes infinity, eternity, regeneration and connection between heaven and earth, and catches the eye of anyone looking at the drawing because of the position, the sharp form and the light color amidst the black. The spider has two eyes and also three eyes on its head - the third eye (divine perception, transcending ordinary vision, seeing beyond) The spider is unraveling the thread from the source (spool) like it's deciding its own fate. It looks like a black widow spider - the female black widow spider is known for killing her male partner after mating.

The symbolism of the spider: the weaving of destiny, feminine power and independence, patience and strategic intelligence, subconscious, secrets and hidden knowledge, sensitivity, perceptual awareness, observer, seeing what others don't notice, hidden behind shadows, resilience, renewal, rebirth.

While looking at the coloring book I noticed something. These are papa Archeron's ships. Feyre Elain and Nesta. But look at the symbols.

Feyre = moon and stars

Nesta = sun

Elain = Eight pointed star

What's important is...those symbols are in the covers.

Especially bc I theorized that archerons might come from the line of the female fae warrior who trapped koschei...and this coloring book page is papa archeron coming back from a bargain he made with koschei in order to release Vassa? Is it connected somehow? 👀👀👀

Lucien has to be the one to invoke the Blood Duel, as far as anything we know so far goes. It's not a Night Court tradition and, as far as we know, Elain isn't Azriel's mate, so he doesn't have a "right" to invoke it in the first place. IF the leaks/rumors are true, and we get at least one Lucien POV + conflict between Az and Lucien, it makes sense to me that that POV would be used to at least call the Blood Duel before the end of Book6. I'm torn on whether we actually see that in Book 6, or if we'll even see it in whole at all (I think there are several moving parts that could step in at more or less the last moment to call it off, whether that's a Helion-is-Lucien's-father reveal, a reveal that the mating bond is more complicated than they thought, or some other big event happening that pushes the duel itself off), but I do think we're going to see it in some form.

Agree with this! I think it could more so be used as a threat that causes alliances to crumble even more. The IC will have external issues to deal with, but also issues between each other. The Nesta/Rhys drama from HOFAS already showed some divide and lines being drawn and this would just push everyone even more over the edge.

If the leaks are true and Azriel really will have a fight with Lucien, it means that:

1. When Azriel told Rhys he couldn’t order him to stay away from Elain, he wasn’t bluffing.

2. The talk about the Night Court’s recent betrayals and revealed truths suggests that something big happened... maybe someone invoked/will invoke the Blood Duel? 👀👀

3. Azriel defeating Lucien with "little effort" would completely tear apart any peace and alliances with the Autumn & Spring Courts + Jurian and Vassa:

Since when does the official Bloomsbury account like theory videos???? Is this a normal thing they’ve done and I just missed it??? She’s a smaller creator with under 2k followers too so it’s unlikely it would’ve been put on their feed unless they went searching for it or maybe they were looking in the hashtags idk. Being disappointed/disheartened about potentially not getting an Elain POV right away is totally normal and understandable, and I feel that, too! I just think it actually logically lines up with where it seems the book is gonna start in the timeline, and that it may actually open up more of Book 7.
