Getting home this past weekend was horrible:
Borrowed three books from the library on on feminism in mythology and folklore, and The Bedtricks. The latter is actually a little helpful; Shakespeare and Chaucer uses them in their writing as does a lot of bawdy older tales and I can totally add to my papers for my one class. We'll see. I just needed to do something for myself, and to get me back on track for writing.
- I got a flat driving through the Oranges and freaked out but somehow got over five lanes of traffic to the shoulder just outside of Union.
- My car battery died while I was waiting for the repair guy...
- ...How was super nice and took great care of me. Followed me into a rest stop to put more air in my doughnut and wouldn't take a tip.
- I got yelled at by a State Trooper about two minutes away from home for doing 60 in a 55 but being too slow in the left lane. JUST before an EZ-Pass (which I have) and a doughnut on (which meant I shouldn't have been speeding at all). Quite frankly, I didn't care that my mother called up and gave them hell while I sat there bawling when I got home. I got home, thank God.
