Arthur had finally been released. He leaned heavily on his ladyfriend as they walked out to apperate. He was still weak but had been complaining about being caged inside.
That seemed like yesterday..now it was christmas. Arthur sighed a bit as he pulled his scarf over his mouth and laid the red flowers on the headstone.
" I love you molly..i always will...but I need to move on...there is another woman in my life now..and ..and she will never replace you..but maybe there is enough room for the two of you. "
he sighed and looked at the flowers " goodbye darling" he said with a whisper then apperated away from the burrow leaving the red roses to contrast with the white snow.
Arthur apperated back to his flat to get ready for dinner. Cecily was coming over and they were going to spend a quiet romantic evening together. Arthur was nervous as punch. he sighed and tried to flatten his hair with his hand..the doorbell rang..he gave up on his hair and put on his ever famous hat ...wincing as it clashed with his muggle clothes he sighed and walked to the door. the table was set..dinner was made..oh how he was nervous.
He opened the door
This was it. The one thing that would change her life entirely. For some reason, it suddenly started bothering her that she couldn't see Colin. It bothered her that she couldn't look Arthur in the eyes when they spoke.
Being blind actually was getting to the grown woman and now, she stood in the lobby of St. Mungo's getting checked in for a surgery that would change her life entirely.
Sadly, she had to leave work early because they changed the time of her surgery and owled her atleast 10 minutes before she was due. She arrived three minutes late because she quickly had a quick-quotes quill (not the Rita Skeeter variety, this one actually took notes word-for-word) write him a message and, after folding it into a paper airplane and charming it to fly right to him, she left.
The letter explained her situation and apologized profusely for the sudden change. It also apologized for not waiting for him, something that was part of the original plan, but time wouldn't allow it.
She just prayed ARthur wasn't mad at her. She was now tryingo to draw out the check-in process so that maybe he'd get here before she went under the Healers wand.
Stepping out of the ministry, Cecily sighed happily, glad to be out in the sun. Turning towards the center of town, she made her way down the street, a white cane in her hand, her want stowed in her black backpack.
The spell on her wand had a nasty habit of making her head hurt so she carried the cane in her bag, folded neatly to fit. Heading down the street, she stopped at a small stand selling fish and chips. She ordered a small apple cider and a large order of food and carefully made her way to a table, sitting carefully and pulling a book out of the backpack, opening to a marked page and running one hand over the raised bumps as she used her other hand to eat.
