Awesome advice...

...for so many areas in life, not just dating:

"Fuck YES or No"

There’s a grey area in dating many people get hung up on — a grey area where feelings are ambiguous or one person has stronger feelings than the other. [...]

If you’re in the grey area to begin with, you’ve already lost.

The entrepreneur Derek Sivers once wrote a blog post where he said that “If I’m not saying ‘Hell Yeah!’ to something, then I say no.” It served him well in the business world and now I’d like to apply it to the dating world. And because I’m more of a vulgar asshole than Derek is, I’ll christen mine The Law of “Fuck Yes or No.” [...]

The Law of “Fuck Yes or No” implies that both parties must be enthusiastic about the prospect of one another’s company. Why? Because attractive, non-needy, high self-worth people don’t have time for people who they are not excited to be with and who are not excited to be with them.

First of all, my husband linked me to the article Scholars in Bondage where a professor analyzes and criticizes three contemporary books about BDSM...

...honestly, I don't get most of the discussion. So, yeah, just will have to attend our one week kink event in June without being bolstered by knowing how we tick and why we do it ;)

This said, here, have fanfiction!

the little rush you get (SPOILERS) Kirk/McCoy, is an STXII inspired story that warmed my heart with its awesome interpretation of McCoy!

Jim Kirk and the Mystery of Christine Chapel (SPOILERS) - nice fix-it ficlet although it does make Jim look more stupid than I prefer :)

For anyone who needs to brush up their TOS knowledge

* The Script of ST II - Wrath of Khan

* My TOS Kirk/McCoy Ship Manifesto

* My TOS Kirk/Spock/McCoy Ship Manifesto

With gems like this one from the "Immunity Syndrome" episode:

SPOCK
Captain, I recommend you abandon the attempt. Do not risk the ship further on my behalf.

MCCOY
Shut up, Spock! We're rescuing you.

SPOCK
Why, thank you, Captain McCoy.
