I had mostly forgotten about this icon, but I really like it. Totally severinne's Pike and McCoy for me, not just for the pre-Academy shots used here. No happy-glee-lovers icon; Pike is in McCoy's back, half observer, half hunter, while Leonard looks away, not quite sure what to make of it, rough outside and inside.


Ohh, an icon by taraljc. She made a bunch of these when the Pike fan wave started and I love most of them, but this one is my favorite because half-naked Pike? Can't get much better than this. The movie "Republic of Love" of which this is a screencap is also one of my guilty pleasures.


What it says - I'm one of those rare old school Kirk/McCoy fans that also fell in love with the new school couple :) The almost-kiss is from a Trek blooper. Someone made those two icons, and I combined them because I really can't choose a favorite between those two time lines.


Uh, the hamster in the wheel. Actually an icon I try to use very rarely nowadays, because it stands for feeling helpless and swamped by rl demands. I stopped using it after a very awesome psycho weekend, which taught me the golden rule: "You have the choice". This hamster, for me, symbolizes having no choice, so it's not a state I want to slip back in if I can help it.


Kirk, Spock, McCoy, my favorite TOS guys. What can I say? I like this icon because it's shippy without being slashy, so it's more neutral than most of my others. Digestible also for non-slashers :)
