I just looked at my art because someone asked about my icon, and I realized that I probably stopped drawing right when I had reached a useful level - although I was only ever a copyist. A Kirk/Spock drawing from 2007, one of my last:
Alright, there is a story to it - I started drawing in another IT project far away from home (similar to the one I'm in now), and I had time and need for a new hobby. Back at home afterwards, I never found the right time and place for it. Besides, my writing muses returned and when I have the choice, I always prefer writing :)
...Actually, I do have my drawing pencils already in #worktown. But I'd need some new paper and I'm already doing a winter project with a sport, juggling and programming focus (and you-know-what); not much left to put in there.
I thought I'd start the new year with publishing my last Spiced Peaches art. Here my favorite. It's so strange - sometimes, picture editing just WORKS, and sometimes it doesn't. This is a good one, I think.
Didn't do much today. Was swimming (and should reconsider doing that on Sundays, the kid density was a little high), slept some, washed some dishes and...was mostly lazy.
