Usually I'm fine when it comes to staying up late when I need to get up early (or crazy, your pick), but for some reason I thought last night was a weekend, and it wasn't until after 1am that I realized no, I still had to be up at 8am. That is not enough sleep when I'm this sick and I have to take care of the baby, so I promptly freaked out, read a little, and fell asleep. And then I didn't have to wake up anyway. :|

I'm still tired, still sick, there is still a sore spot in the back of my mouth. I know with something like this you're not supposed to touch or prod it until it heals, but how the FUCK do I manage that when it's IN MY MOUTH? Ugh.

Whaaaaat how doped up on cold meds WAS I yesterday? I totally forgot three of my four daily pictures. Ugh.

I hate all you bitches (and Scott) who had me up until 1am last night. Even if it was for awesome. TR-wise, all my pups are getting top levels and I'm tagging like crazy. EVERYONE BETTER TAG ME, I haven't been starting any new threads for the past week just so I could build up my mojo for tonight. NYE is my favorite of all TR parties. :D

Earlier: I forgot about my laundry last night and I just put that load in the dryer, which means I'm sitting here in shorts with my legs freezing. I hate freezing.

After which I curled up in bed, started reading Rebecca, then put on Wanted and fell asleep halfway through it. How much do I love that movie? So goddamn much. Even when I fall asleep to the dulcet sounds of the train chase.

At least I'm warm now.

- So, like,

andrealyn is the best BFF in the entire world because she surprised me and got me a necklace from one of my favorite shops on Etsy, which arrived today. It's so pretty! And I got a compliment on it when I went out to Target. XD

- Starting January 1st, I won't be doing daily Joe in my LJ anymore. Fear not, though, I've already started setting up a community. Like I need more organization in my life.

- I've really been looking around, thinking about what I want to study and focus on, and I've kind of hit on three things: English Lit, Anthropology, or Library Science. The English and Anthro classes I'm taking next semester will test that out, and I could take a Library Science class over the summer along with another math class. I just really want to get back to school. Two more weeks! (If the 15 year old me could see me now...)

I cut my hair last night, woot. It's just below my ears (while straight) and I'll probably get it cleaned up professionally just before the semester starts (being broke sucks), but I'm happy. I hate having it long, no matter how nice I can get it to look.

I've FINALLY got Power DVD on this computer (my old copy was version 4, which doesn't work with Vista), so I'll be starting the next part of Epic Space Love. \o/

The baby's sick again - well, he's had bronchitis for almost two months now, but it's flared up - so I had to stay home with him while my aunt and uncle visited the cousins. I got a cute pair of Christmas socks and a really nice handmade pen, so yay.

OMG, driving in the rain sucks, especially when half the highway doesn't have reflective markers on the lines or not enough light and your car sucks so hard that just putting the heat on for two seconds fogs up the windows so you have to drive home with your toes frozen because a wave of water in the slightly inclined parking lot you just left seeped into your boots which, you're surprised to find, don't go well with rainy weather.

...at least I have peppermint hot chocolate and gifts to wrap. I love wrapping.

TWO HOURS OF SLEEP WHAT.

I knew I shouldn't have stayed up that late (late being 6am), but I didn't think my aunt would wake me up at freaking 8am to babysit for a few hours while she finishes grading and calculating final grades. Aaaaaagh. At least it's almost his nap time, which means nap time for ME.

And at least I got more threading done last night than I've had all week. I like nights like that, though I'm always a bit put out that being thready at 3am means there are like, two people around to thread with me. Four, in last night's case! Amazing.

Weird dream: Watching some kind of talk show where the actors who play Ellie and Captain Awesome were married in real life and talking about their real and true love. Awesome was getting a little creepy at the end there.

Apparently something in the Eco Lips lip balm is what I'm allergic to. Because after months of nothing, as soon as I bought a few more and used them, my lips swelled up like sausages the next morning. It's hard enough finding lip balm that works for me, now I can't use my favorite anymore? Dammit.

Yay, LJ. I just donated to the ALS association with the $25 charity donation they do when you buy a permanent account. I might have cried a little as I dedicated it to my grandfather, but you can't prove that.

I've started a new project, which is making the organizational nazi in me happy. I might go crazy before it's done but I don't caaaaare.

I love when I get fifteen to twenty minutes to myself because the baby is happily amusing himself playing with his toys. Playing and interacting with a kid gets exhausting after a while. x_x

The Bro Code = BEST EVER. I enjoyed that book way too much. There were graphs! And illustrations! I want to be someone's wingwoman now.

I don't care how much of a good actor Robert Carlyle is (and I loved him in 28 Weeks Later), I'm still not going to watch Stargate: Universe. Wright and company can suck it.

I registered for classes, yay! Starting in January I'll be taking:

M 7pm-10pm: Anthropology 300 - Physical Anthropology
TH 7pm-10pm: English Writing 300 - College Composition
Online: Math 30 - Pre-Algebra

Don't mock my math placement. XD I'll do fine, since I'll actually be doing the work for college instead of slacking and dealing with other things like I was in high school. But yaaaay school! I can't wait for January to roll around, I honestly can't.

The complete SG-1 series is on sale at Amazon.com for $100 dollars, and I can't justify buying it. THE INJUSTICE. ;_;

- I showed my uncle the new Star Trek trailer, and I think he was starting it again when I came back downstairs. XD

- I GOT $60.30 FOR JURY DUTY, HOLY CRAP. I thought I'd get somewhere around $40, but I got $45 in fees and $15.30 in mileage. o.O I guess 15 cents per mile for 20+ miles for three days really adds up.

- My newest necklace purchase from Etsy came today, and it is SO PRETTY. I would show it off, but the picture would include my (barely there) cleavage and I'm adverse to showing it off in a public post. Sorry, ya'll.

- Jumper One is finally fully configured with a static IP for our home network and all the problems I'd been having with connectivity have been resolved. I am so good to go. \o/

- There have been enough good parts about today so far that it's making up for how last night ended. ...like the fact that I just found a Windows sidebar gadget that can play TV. Oh my god, I can watch NASA tv on my laptop! And webcam of Times Square! Holy crap, there are Dutch and Russian channels on this thing. And DubaiTV! In English! jfefa;dkfjads;f WIN. I love you, internet.

My sister and I have never been close, but lately we've been talking a lot more, exchanging emails for two or three hours a night. It's so surreal discussing adult problems with her because despite only being eleven months older, she's still my little sister. She's not allowed to be grown up. XD Then, after telling her I didn't really need anything for Christmas (I have this thing where I hate asking people for things when money is involved), she offered to pay for my textbooks for next semester as my gift, which floored me.

Jesus Christ, I'm already at 5,754 LJ entries. Wasn't I JUST posting my 5000th?

I feel like I could go for a nap, despite having slept about eleven hours last night.
