Dragon Knight by Tari_Roo

Title: Dragon Knight
Author: tari_roo
Characters: John Sheppard, Cameron Mitchell, Elizabeth Weir, Rodney McKay, Teyla Emmagan, Ronon Dex, Sam Carter, Carson Beckett, Radek Zelenka, Evan Lorne
Summary: Atlantis is imminently under attack by an Asuran fleet, and Queen Elizabeth has a desperate last chance plan. Recapture the dragon that is supposedly their last hope in defeating the Asurans. Rodney McKay and his team are back on their quest to capture the black dragon, Jhepard-shon. Shep though is determined not to be found... mostly because he is still recovering from the last attack.

Why rec'd? A wonderful AU that is so truly AU and plays with fantasy and sci-fi elements but still so true the characters that we know from the show.

Also, it has dragon!John. Dragon!John. *enough said*

Visting Hours by Teand

Title: Visting Hours
Author: teand
Characters: Cameron Mitchell, Samantha Carter, Vala Mal'Doran, Daniel Jackson, Teal'c
Summary: Cameron has to stay in Hospital for observation after an injury to his spine.

Why rec'ed? This is an awesome team!fic in which the Team provides comfort to a, laid up in Hospital but not seriously injured, Cameron.

Hypotheticals by sg_betty

Title: Hypotheticals
Author: sg_betty
Characters: Daniel Jackson, Cameron Mitchell
Summary: Cameron tries to talk Daniel out of doing something stupid. Or is Cameron talking himself into helping Daniel doing something stupid?

Why rec'ed? This is a tag/missing scene to "The Ark of Truth" and deals with Daniel's fear of storing the Ark in Area 51. I really like how Cameron is able to read Daniels thoughts and say the right words and that he doesn't know if he is talking Daniel out of something or himself into something...

Raiders of the Seven Systems by Martha Wilson

Title: Raiders of the Seven Systems
Author: Martha Wilson
Characters: John Sheppard, Teyla Emmagan, Ronon Dex, Halling, Sam Carter, Rodney McKay, Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, Cameron Mitchell, Teal'c, mentions of other SGA and SG-1 characters, OCs
Warning: Contains a brief description of a suicide attempt.
Summary: John Sheppard leads a crew of Athosian space pirates in the Pegasus Galaxy. They rescue Earth refugees Rodney McKay and Sam Carter, but then things get complicated.

Why rec'ed? This is a fantastic AU of SGA and SG-1. The characterisation is wonderful and I love the idea that the Athosians are Pirates and make life for the Genii hell.

First Impressions Aren't Everything by cottontail

Title: First Impressions
Author: cottontail
Characters: John Sheppard, Cameron Mitchell
Summary: It takes Cameron a little while to realize why John Sheppard is such a cool guy.

Why rec'ed? It's a nice story where we see John through the eyes of Cameron. We see how Cameron goes from (almost) hero worthshipping John to being disappointed in him to realizing that there is more to John than it seems to be.

Tempered By The Battle's Heat by tielan and a bonus story

Title: Tempered By The Battle's Heat
Author: tielan
Characters: John Sheppard, Cameron Mitchell, Teyla Emmagan
Summary: Twenty years of friendship between two men, and a fire that comes close to putting it out.
Warning: AU, a tiny bit of Whump

Why rec'ed? This is a wonderful story set in SG1s AU-episode "Changeling" (Season 6, where Teal'c hallucinates that he's part of a team of firefighters). You don't have to see this episode to understand it. Everything necessary for this story is explained in it. I love the idea of John and Cameron being friends for 20 years and how tielan managed to interweave some canon bits into this story. :) And Teyla as a fire cop? So awesome! The only downside: The story has no "real" ending. But it is not a WIP! It has an ending but not all things are answered.

And as a bonus:

Since I know that not everybody likes "Supernatural" I'm not doing an extra post for this rec:

Title: Collisions
Author: icarusancalion
Characters: SGA: John Sheppard, Rodney McKay, brief appearances of Steven Caldwell and Novak (um, what's her first name? *scratches head*), SPN: Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester
Summary:  Sheppard shrugged. "When you fight bad guys for a living, you've got to treat yourself." Dean slapped Sam's shoulder and pointed to Sheppard. "See? That's what I always say."
Warning: Crossover, POV from "Supernatural", mention of Sex but only as a brotherly way of teasing (if you've seen "Supernatural" you know what I mean)
Spoilers: For Seasons 4 and 5 of "Supernatural" - it's only a brief mention of something and I think, that if you are spoilerfree for this 2 Seasons you won't know that that's a Spoiler until you see them... (at least I hope so)

Why rec'ed? I've been waiting for a long time for such a crossover! :) I love that in this crossover both worlds exist - aliens are real as well as demons and ghosts. I like that icarusancalion managed to get the voices of Sam and Dean as well as of John and Rodney right and their teasing of each other. And the idea why Sam and Dean meet John and Rodney: Very good! :) One thing: For most of the story, especially the beginning, it seems to be a "Supernatural" Story. I won't deny that but when John and Rodney come into the picture it feels like a "SGA" story too... Since I know both shows, I can't tell if you can read the story without knowing "Supernatural" - just give it a try.

Displacement by smilebackwards

Title: Displacement
Author: smilebackwards
Rating: PG13
Characters: Sheppard, Beckett, O'Neill, Mitchell, Jackson, Carter, Teal'c, McKay, Teyla
Summary: John isn't really sure how to feel about the fact that he seems to have been unofficially adopted by SG-1. Tag to The Return

Why Rec'd: A really good look at how Sheppard feels about being back on Earth, with good interaction with SG1, plus a perfect Rodney outburst at one point!

Marching Away and Men in Stiff Procession by Vain_Glorious

Title: Marching Away and Softly Gone and Men in Stiff Procession
Author: vain_glorious
Characters: Sheppard, team, Cameron Mitchell
Summary: AU of 5x13, Inquisition. After Sheppard is exiled to an unknown planet by the tribunal, Mitchell is sent to replace him as military commander of Atlantis.

Why rec'd? The first of the two stories ("Marching Away...") is a brief, AU coda to "Inquisition"; the second expands it out to a fascinating, twisty outsider POV on Atlantis and the team. Over a year after Sheppard's disappearance, he's declared dead and Mitchell is sent to replace him. This sounds awesomely depressing but it's worth it, trust me, especially if you enjoy outsider viewpoint stories and team-love.

The Company He Keeps by xparrot

Title: The Company He Keeps
Author: xparrot
Characters: Cameron (with Rodney, John, Sam, Daniel, Teyla, and Ronon)
Description: A missing scene for SG-1: 10x03, "The Pegasus Project."

Why Rec'd: The regard the Lanteans have for Rodney is obvious to those of us who know and love them, but what would an outsider pick up on? In this story, Cam tries to work out exactly what to expect from the 'difficult' Dr. Rodney McKay.
