FanFiction Flaming Fridays for the Snarky Reader

WHAT IS UP, SNARKY_FFFF. Nothing, obvs, since it's been what, 3 years after the last update here? But THAT ENDS TONIGHT.

So basically, I am here because whiteadelphi mentioned this comm with a bad SPN summary on her plurk and I had a fit of nostalgia. Btw, I am the snarker formerly known as mizuumi_twitt, an account that, quite frankly, I don't remember the password for (or which email address I used, how typical). Long story short, I helped start this comm HOLY SHIT THAT WAS BACK IN 2005 OH MY GOD but dropped off the face of the internet for a while, lol oops.

Disclaimers:
1) I haven't actually snarked in what, 4 years? Or more? Something like that? ALMOST SEVEN YEARS JFC
2) I am actually a little drunk. But only a little.
3) lol i have no idea what i'm doing, too many fandoms and not enough attention span, so there are a smattering of things here?

I was inspired to snark again by the wonderful post from rikkitsune. I figured it would be a good stress relief--let the burning begin!

Sounds like most of you are all for the whole "post snarks to any summaries whenever, however" option, which is fine by me. :D  I'll do some alterations to our description later, and you can post as you will.  Though I may leave the fandoms allocated to your names as a 'specialist' sort of thing... because that fandom is, up until now, what you guys have excelled at. ^^

I think the best idea is to let us know in the main part of the post which fandom(s) you are snarking in your entry, and then cut away the rest as usual. So go with that for now while I wonder how best to prettify our profile up.

...and methinks I shall try and get back into snarkery some time in the next week.  Mwahaha.  Look forward to seeing others.

This community is all but dead, but it'd be a shame to kill it, especially when it's clear some of us are given to sporadic therapeutic snarking.  So I'm wondering if we can resurrect it in some fashion that doesn't require a whole bunch of us busy and/or over-stressed types spending a couple of hours working up our snark list?

A couple options being that

1) I can relax the rules entirely and just let people fling up snarks of different summaries as they feel like it, whether one or sixteen of them;

2) Can maintain the current rules but say it's a monthly thing only; or

3) Other options that you, the snarker and/or snark reader, might come up with.

If there isn't enough interest left in the community, then I'll give it mourning rites and a nice burial and we can all go back to mocking the odd summary in our own journal.  I have noticed we tend to go through trends of busy/dead/busy, but that can be encompassed under number 1) if need be.   (If there's a bunch of people that don't actually snark but want to read snarks, then that is more than enough interest to keep it going, so if you're in this category sing out.)

Lastly, an apology to the last few people who snarked last year - my year went to hell and I didn't pay much attention to the group, so a few people didn't get so much as a single comment, where I would have liked to.  We still love you!  D:

Only tangentially snark-related, but...

Apparently, someone was crazy enough to nominate Vampires and Time Travel and Bad Fanfics, Oh My! for an RKRC. I'm very confused and overwhelmed but happy, all at the same time. Woo. Anyway, since it was this community that inspired it, I, umm, thought you guys should know. (Man...that makes me sound arrogant... I'm sorry!)

(And no, the icon doesn't really fit...I don't really have any suitable RK icons at the moment...ehehe...)
