I have to say I was a bit concerned that he would be the solitary actor of color in this, but I spotted others, late in the trailer.
I’ll watch Jeffrey Wright read the phone book but this looks super-intriguing. Not sure if I’m hoping it’s werewolves or humans yet, though.

So, I did get a little emotional at that Warwick Davis cameo. Great actor, big part of my childhood, and road-paver for Peter Dinklage.
I heard on a podcast that this check-mark nostalgia simply can’t work much longer in this cynical post-Trump world. And I agree. My demographic is aging out of being one media tries to appeal to (seriously 80′s nostalgia is likely having it’s last big hurrah).
The earnestness just doesn’t work with young people who grew up with access to the internet.
I’m going to miss it.
On the good side of it though, judging by this Nest reveal, all the problematic elements from that era are also going the way of the dodo. More diverse central characters, and fewer cocky unchecked white guys who know everything.
