I got my hair dyed and trimmed (yay!) and the hairdresser was very nice and I don't think it was (*touch wood*) disastrous, so... yay. And now the internets are dead (seriously, people, skip 20? For 24 hours? *is torn between being grateful and being worried about where you all ARE*) so I really really REALLY should do one of the eight million things on my to do list (gosh, this line should practically have its own theme song I say it so often *shame*) which is stressing me the hell out and... I just so can't work up the energy. I did nothing today but read the last half of a particularly large and not-terribly-satisfying beach-readish book, and then 400 (okay, 393, but I want to know how it ends so I'm sure I'll read another 7 pages tonight at the very least) pages of a Patricia Cornwall which is making me swing between being frustrated (I want to know what happened! and she jumps POV every five pages or so which I am so not used to anymore, and also? I've read maybe one other of hers and I feel like I am confused by stuff simply cos I don't know the last fifteen books or whatever) and being really interested and, uh, being hugely panicked about the lack of research I've done for the Faking Forensics panel. AUGH. Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow will be a better day. I will be motivated (mostly because, well, I have no hope of a mental health day on Monday, as much as I might want one) and Get Stuff Done. I will try and stay off the computer and also from lying in bed reading forever. Commentary will see me through! *crosses fingers* (Insert "I do believe in fairies!" joke here about John Sheppard. :D)

*runs around in little panicked circles*

We're all fine here. How are you?

I'm fine. My Saturday has only started and I'm filled with energy and love for the universe. Did I mention that my project is almost over and that our presentation was awesome? (I think I might have done so yesterday, but it does bear repeating.) Watch LotR! FotR! Watch Frodo and Sam fuck! Don't tell me it's not in the movie, because it totally is. ;)

*sends cute little hobbitses*

I saw you say your presentation went well - congratulations upon congratulations for that, sounds like you guys did fantastically! *snugs you* Mmmmmm, LotR. I really think I will. I have the soundtracks on my iPod and have been listening all week and thinking it's time to rewatch (haven't seen them since Christmas, so). Oh, it's SO in the movie. Well, in RotK, at least. With the fade to black and everything! ;)

Mmm. Hobbitses. *snaffles up Merry and Pippin* :D

I think in all fo today I had one good, nice moment. I was out the back, int he sunshine, it was balmy, just the merest hint of a breeze, and the store-room radio's got Sublime up loud, and I'm slouching along, doing my thing, and all was right with the world.

Only the fact I was emptying the chicken fat at the time kinda ruined the idyll. It was extra squishy today.

I suppose you could it surreal, mind you. Hm.

Other than that? I want a refund on today, thanks.

Right now, I'm rocking out to Czech punk music (with a freakin' clarinet, holy shit I'm dying with joy here) and slowly wilting in my chair. And very glad I bought cupcakes after work. *sends some*

Aw, NUTS. Seriously. This week? Is still pretty fired. I might be more useful with a do-over, too. *looks around hopefully for a big red button* But mmmmmm, sunshine. And if there's sublime on the radio it MUST still be summer, too...

ewwwwwwww chicken fat. *pets you carefully* *while wearing gloves*

And, dude, that sounds COOL. Cupcakes WIN. I want cookies-- OH! I have half a cookie left from Friday when I was weakwilled and spineless and bought a CookieTime and coffee. WIN.

This week is over tomorrow. Tomorrow is Sunday! End of the week! Tuesday I hope to really go nuts and forget this week existed. Wednesday...aaaah. *frets*

I only did it so I could get outside. And if I wasn't actually looking at the stuff I was having to mish up (by HAND) to go down the drain, then it wasn't all that abhorrent. So I took my sweet time and loudly hummed along to 'Santeria'. Wicked.

This is so cool. I have no idea what they're singing about, but I do not CARE. I love it, just being able to listen to it is fucking cool. The music itself...aaaah, *rocks out so hard* And my cupcakes have hundreds and thousands on them! How groovy is that. And cookies for the WIN. ♥

I hope it treats you more nicely, then. *crosses fingers* *bribes tomorrow with easter eggs* Good call on the going nuts-ness. *pet*

Ahhh gotcha. Good call, I think. (I totally go rinse the sand equivalent tubes - which we do at the tap outside cos they clog up the sink indoors - sometimes just to get outside, so... yes.)

Eeeeeeexcllent. Hundreds and thousands for the WIN. *firm nod*

Hiya! I just woke up. I conked out the minute I got home. So, it's 3am but I've already slept 8 hrs. *winz*

I keep contemplating getting my hair cut and/or colored, but I just can't decided. And what if it turns out horrible? The day before yesterday, I was thisclose to cutting it myself. I want to keep it long, but I always end up pulling it back into a hideous, matronly looking bun anyways. *sigh*

I have to work on my panels this weekend too. Me & the co-mods have worked out all the questions, but I feel I should review canon for the Rodney one and finish reviewing the OMG 200+ responses to my poll for the slash closet one. I've gotten through about 150 so far.

You must read fast. I don't think I could read 400 pages of one book and half of another in one day.

Hi! Good morning! Or, well, I hope it stays a good morning for you, anyway!

I was tossing up getting it cut shorter, because I suspect it would look better, but... *wibbles* And it's not even all that long (it's a bit past my shoulders, which people tell me is 'long' but since my hair used to be "I sit on it if I'm not careful" length it doesn't seem that long). And, aww, yeah, I totally do the same thing myself - I want it longish and then have it tied back/up 99.9% of the time because it's such a hassle.

...your work on your panels makes me feel like SUCH a slacker, though. Seriously - I am impressed and envious. And, mm, well, at least reviewing Rodney canon is not entirely a chore? Hey, that can be my excuse for watching dvds while I tidy tomorrow - I'm 'reviewing canon'. *plots*

I do read pretty fast, yeah. I'm the one in the family they say could not notice a hurricane if I was reading, which is good because I get to read a lot but bad because I tend to run out of books really easily (which is why the internet is a blessing - thousands of words of FREE STUFF to read, whenever I want!)
