Pissed

(no subject)

I apologize for going MIA, a lot has been going on.

As I've mentioned before, I work in a movie theater. Until late March, from 10:30am to 10:00pm, we had a 'Passion' starting Every. Half. Hour. 25 shows a day Needless to say work has been hell and most of my free time has been short.

Also, my aunt lost her baby. She was almost 6 months along. Dealing with this and the funeral, and helping out with her kids (the baby would have been her 5th child) has taken up pretty much any free time I would have had left.

On a brighter note, I did get my site back. Also after almost 2 years of waiting (since the announcement of it being licensed got the fansubs I *had* been collecting pulled) ADV, the people who did the Sailor Moon season 1 & 2 boxsets, have finally begun releasing Wedding Peach. They're also releasing Angelic Layer[/pimping]. Thus far, I have no…issues with their translations.

I'm quite pleased that ADV seems to have realized that there is and american market for Shoujo.

--Edit--

More happy news. I just checked Beast Buy's website. 'Love Actually' comes out next Tuesday. As usual Bestbuy.com has it up for pre-order with free home shipping. It's also on sale for $17.99 (instead of $19.99).
We Are The Champions, A Winner Is You

There are at least *some* benefits to working at a movie theater.

I got to see Two Towers last night!!

Now I feel the need to babble about the movie, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the book. So, I'll just make some vague comments about it, and entice anyone who may be hesitating to do so, to go see it. It officially opens tomorrow, but, as with Star Wars, my theater is doing midnight shows tonight.

Gimli is Funny!

Legolas is funny were Gimli is concerned. Otherwise, he's one angsty elf.

Gollum is funny, but a little creepy

I really have no idea what's going on with Arwen.

It probably would have been better had Faramir not come along.

I'd pretty much figured it out during the first movie. Reading it online confirmed it. This just reinforce it. Tolkien was an opponent of the ecological destruction caused by industry. This is very evident in Two Towers. Well, let's just say, this time, Nature Strikes Back.

Ok, I'm done now. (I could go on, but won't.)
