Hi there
Hope you don't mind me posting an entry on your group, but I was hoping you might be able to help with a documentary idea I am developing.
I am a producer currently in the process of developing programme ideas around a brief about ‘modern families’ and would very much like to explore the possibility of a potential documentary on polyamory.
I think it could be interesting to approach polyamory through the eyes of an engaging and articulate young person who has grown up in a polyamorous household. Perhaps a young person who’s just planning to leave home for the first time? Getting their insight into the benefits and challenges of living in this unconventional family unit may go some way to increasing general awareness and understanding of polyamory here in the UK.
I appreciate that there are many sensitivities around tackling this subject matter and these will of course be very much in the forefront of my mind as I develop this idea. As a company we pride ourselves on our trusted relationships with the people and organisations we work with and believe that making a documentary is very much a collaborative process.
The Garden Productions are a London-based independent television production company, founded in 2010 by the team who made the BAFTA award winning Channel 4 series set in a maternity hospital, “One Born Every Minute”. In 2011, we made the critically acclaimed and award winning “24 Hours in A & E” - Channel 4’s biggest ever documentary series – which told the personal stories of the doctors and patients in a busy hospital A&E department. The second series is currently transmitting on Channel 4.
If you would be interested in talking to me about your polyfamily, know of a family who might be interested in hearing about this or simply would like to find out more - I would be very keen to hear from you.
I can be reached in the office on 020 3465 9060 or at helen.crampton@thegardenproductions.tv
Hope to hear from you.
Many thanks,

Hey, all.
This community's been a bit quiet, lately, and I'm curious - where in the UK is everyone?
I'm in Sheffield at the moment, in the middle of a move to Manchester to be closer to the other members of our polycule (poly family/shape - whatever you prefer). I'm just in a secondary relationship at the moment, and looking for more, should a particularly interesting individual come along.
So how about you? Where are you? What (if anything) are you looking for and living with right now?

Hello!
Wondering if anyone can answer a silly but genuine question:)
What do your husband's girlfriend and your girlfriend become to your children? Step-mums?
Cheers:)
Do please note that although we haven't got human kids we have lots of cats and they are treated as such... If someone gets offended or thinks it's dumb... shrug
I'm taking part in a discussion on poly this Wednesday at 7pm in Newton
Building, Nottingham Trent University City Campus (the new tall white
building, just next to the Royal Centre/Royal Centre Tram stop. You have
to come in the large glass doors). All invited.
