Outside my friend-lock, I mainly talk about science-fiction TV and assorted geekery, I think.

Inside, I talk about my personal life, my angst about it, and just generally what's going on day-to-day. If you want in, ask in the comments below. It's not painfully NSFW, but use your own discretion.


I also have an OMG TMI! filter, to talk about my sex life, amongst other squishy subjects. If you want into that, too, also mention it. It's no guarantee that I'll add you to it, but it can't hurt to ask. :-)

Hello, everyone. As you've probably guessed, I've pretty much given up my whining ways on LiveJournal. That said, I do have another blog over here:

I started my "Kosmopolite Lite" blog in an attempt to get into the habit of writing every day. Maybe 50% of it is fiction, and the rest are opinion pieces. I'd really appreciate your support and feedback, as I'm really trying to take my writing seriously, now.

The thing about this film is, although I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was, it didn't feel to me like it was consistent with the other Hannibal films - particularly in terms of the characterisation of Hannibal himself. He doesn't feel like the same drawling, cold, hungry killer locked in the basement of a Baltimore Hospital. The latter shows no sign of a foreign, traumatic childhood. His accent is American, and his knowledge seems to be from travel, rather than foreign origins. That was my only real gripe with it. It works best in isolation, rather than as a prequel to the Hannibal Lecter trilogy.

Hey, all.

I have now officially booked for Maelstrom 4 2010 (Retaliation?). Anyway, I don't have a method of transportation to get there. Or back, actually. I won't be carrying my own kit, so I won't take up a lot of luggage space - just a seat, really. Can anyone help from either the Yorkshire or Manchester areas, please?
