in the nice guys (2016) holland march has the words ‘you will never be happy’ written (very legibly) in what I assume is pen on his right hand. pre-cast, he writes notes with his right hand. he punches a window out with his left hand. he reaches for his gun with his right hand, but his left hand is injured from the window. then he spends most of the movie with his left hand in a cast. from that point on he does pretty much everything (holding his gun, writing, etc) with this right hand, but this could be because he’s right-handed or because he’s left-handed but his dominant hand is in a cast.
if he is right-handed, how did he write those words legibly on his right hand, and more importantly, why would he do this instead of taking the easy route and writing on his left hand? is he ambidextrous??
if march is left-handed. healy very specifically asked for his left arm to break. I have to guess this means healy was intentionally trying to go for what he assumed was his non-dominant arm and failed. which is funny
