I haven't visited the pups in a while, and I thought this little comment ficathon would be a great chance to do so. Title lifted from "Name" by the Goo Goo Dolls, which sort of fits in well with the tone of the fic.

Hi,

I'm looking for a fic where Sirius has been given the task of waiting outside Hogwarts to register Harry and has dragged Remus along to queue with him. I remember they're trying to figure out what name to give Harry and end up giving him a really long name to incorporate everyone's suggestions; it ends with Remus having to tell Harry his real name in the future for his graduation. It wasn't a long fic and Lucius Malfoy, Frank Longbottom and, I think, Seamus Finnigan's mother, were in it. I know I read it on lj but I just can't remember where.

Has anyone heard of this?

Author's Note: Written for rs_games 2011 for Team Sirius with the prompt of The Proclaimers "I'm Gonna Be". For being on Team Sirius, I know it's strange to get a fic from Remus' POV, but it's a risk that I had to take and I hope that everyone understands why when they read this. I owe a debt of gratitude to L, C, and Y, who helped edit and britpick and provided me with information about Manchester and British culture. The title and most of the songs referenced in the fic have been lifted directly from The Proclaimers – I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles).
