I already did mpreg as body horror a few years ago and I'm pretty sure I also did nerdy characters but I can't find the post (and to my horror looking for it I just realized that my "nerd" tag is fucked up and emptied up? and a couple other tags as well? something went very wrong last time I did housekeeping on this journal, argh.) But I can do it again! You can't shut me up about my nerdy babies!!
So yeah I love nerdy/geeky/dorky characters. They don't have to be highly intelligent but it helps, and they get bonus points for competence in their own domain.
My favs in FMA include Fury and Scieszka (but not limited to, I also like non-nerdy characters--then again I like a lot of things & characters in FMA), I'll probably never get over Howard from LastMan, what do you mean there are other characters in Arcane beyond Jayce & Viktor (kidding, kidding, Mel is also awesome), I measure my potential interest in Star Trek subseries in my love for their doctor character--Dr Bashir being my number #1 Blorbo at the moment.
I could go on. Should I go on? Should we turn that into a meme? You give me fandom and if I know it I'll answer with my fav, whether they're a nerd or not, and if I like or not the designated nerd character(s) in it?

+ deplatform & defund JKR; nobody interacts with her franchise nor does transformative stuff on her work nor pays for goodies Ever again. Nothing. Ever. Let her be forgotten. There are better books to read anyway.

I had to do archeology on my blog and yes, I already answered... five years ago.
So what happened since?
LastMan sort of fizzled out. The comics ended... not that badly but, we already knew that one of the creators was an asshole but he turned out to be an Even Worse asshole, and the second cartoon season was a huge disappointement.
I fell down the Arcane rabbit hole.
I fell even further down the Star Trek rabbit hole; I liked TOS and TNG well enough but man do I love DS9 even more, like something fierce.
(Imagine last month, not even checking jayvik & Viktor-related tags on Tumblr because I can't keep up anymore with the input, but checking Julian Bashir & garashir every day because old fandoms aren't going anywhere and the trickle of posts is small but steady, so much more manageable and
now picture Lower Decks creeping in a corner of my virtual space, hefting a steel folding chair and grinning and going "hey you know what would be really funny"
ah ha I hope another question for this challenge gives me the opportunity to go into further detail about this one later?)

Star Trek: Deep Space 9, I’ve only started writing a bit at the very end but I’m already avidly reading—and yes it was before the Lower Decks Event.
o2. Your favourite film watched this year?
I don’t remember watching many movies this year and there’s no festival this december but my list tells me I saw Nimona in March (it felt like a couple of years ago already? oops) so this has to be the answer!

15. Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
At this point I’m like half-expecting Andrew Robinson to write another Star Trek book in which Garak explicitely marries Bashir. You can’t prove me wrong until 2025 is over and/or Robinson tragically passes away (I hope not).
(But in the meanwhile I’m still writing my own fanfiction.)
Other than that I’m waiting forsnowflake_challenge in January and halfamoon first half of February (will it finally be the year I write Yoko Tsuno? Seuls? Bergères guerrières? Will Star Trek take over? We’ll know in a few weeks…)

i had a dream early this morning cute & silly~
a generic cutesy modern AU JayVik ♥
first, a processed fish brand which flag product was canned marinated tuna made for its jubilee a joint operation with a famous sushi restaurant that would hand out like 2000 free all-you-can-eat meals to the first people that registered for the operation--they just had to pre order like half the sushi they would have in their first serving via a big flat digital screen
so its doubly silly in that of course Jayce would jump to the occasion and make reservations to treat Viktor
(who was standind here in his leg crutch but otherwise healthy enough; if not baffled by the sheer expense of the oh so many options)
so picture Jaye going "you can try everything!!"
"promise those are not ...polluted? in the undercity these things filter out our water and.."
"well they're not--at least they shouldn't, there's food regulations!"
(yeah but it's a big brand offering free food, there's got to be a catch!
and i woke up with the feeling it could go both way;
i'd read a fic once that involved luxury sea food-based food poisoning
and i have this fan theory that Viktor could have so many food intolerances and sea food and/or fish could trigger an allergy;
or! it could just be well no not a ~romantic~ dinner
they'd bring back everything to the lab to wolf down in between equations
not in a frat bro party kind of way
more cutesy in a nerdy way;
still, not very romantic either)
