Desideri (Major Crimes)

Fandom: Major Crimes
Personaggi: Julio Sanchez, Chris Carter

“No, no.” Chris sì sbrigò a rassicurarlo.

“Lo so, lo so. E sono pronta. Davvero.” Chris ammise. “Acidità, piedi gonfi, riposo a letto.

Chris scoppiò a ridere.

“Ah, per me va benissimo.”

the year in tv meme

Borrowed from [personal profile] ruuger

Which TV shows did you start watching in 2014?
Uhm... New shows, The Flash and Constantine, 'cause I'm a sci-fi/comic book freak (Constantine mostly because I've had a thing for Matt Ryan since Criminal Minds Suspect behavior), and also, considering shows that were already airing abroad/were edned abroad but just aired in Italy so I just had occasion to catch up with them: Stargate  Atlantis and Broadchurch. Which I adored. (And btw, I also catched up with USA's own version of the show, GRACEPOINT, also featuring Tennant as the lead detective).
Which TV shows did you let go of in 2014?
Oh. Gracepoint, after a couple of episodes. And Homeland- I've heard that the last season has been quite good, but the show wqsn't too astonishing back when I stopped watching it...
Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2014? Why?
The Fall
Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2015?
The Fall. I'm pretty sure that I will look at it.
Which TV show impressed you least in 2014?
I'm pretty sure that it's The vampire Diarires. Even nowadays, especially when Elena and Jeremy are on screen, I fast-forward, because the show is transforming them into trope. or mary-sues- Or whatever. Also Doctor Who, but I think it was because I saw too much in the... doing? I'm not even sure if I can expalin myself: I was looking too much forward Cpaldi as The Doctor, and also, I was wondering - actually, I was sure- that there wouyld have been a deeper connection between him being the doctor and the role Capaldi played in the Pompeii episode back when Tennat was the doctor and his companion was Donna Noble... (yes, I did hope Donna would be back for at least one epsiode)
Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2015 unless things significantly improve?
Vampire Diaries. Defnitely.
Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?
I don't think I'll ever stop getting back with Doctor Who- I abandon it, and then I watch it again and catch up with lost episodes. Also, probably because I'm a masochist, Once upon a time, despite my deepest hate for Charming and Snow White. And well, the mentalist.
Which TV show did you enjoy the most in 2014?
Besides the last scene of the Mentalist season 6? Major Crimes. I'm pretty sure it's one of the best procedurals on tv right now.

Funny linesn of dialogue, aka why I loved the Closer and I love maybe even more Major crimes...

The setting: Captain Raydor's home; she is having dinner with her adopted son, 19 years old Rusty, her co-worker (and few years older), liutenant detective Andy Flynn (a longtime friend she often refers to simply as Andy), and Andy's daughter, Nicole; it's a few days before Chrsimas, and they are getting ready to leave to go and see Nicole's daughter - and Andy's grand-daughter's-dance recital (the nutcracker, in case you were wondering). The reason they are all having dinner at Sharon's place? Because Nicole had asked Sharon Raydor for advice (so, you date my daddy and work with him, and you are his superrior; how do you do that? Because I work with my husband, but I just got promoted,  and he is giving me a sort of hell"), hinting that she believes her father and his boss may be in a relationship. Something that Sharon doesn't share.

Nicole: Are you sure I can't help any?
Sharon:No, no, no. We're almost done. We'll finish when we get back.
N:Gosh, Dean will regret missing a meal like this. Someone had to take the boys to get ready. I'm surprised my dad volunteered to bring them. That is what I call "the Sharon effect."
Rusty (unconfortable, as the adults look at each other trying to decide who's going to talk first):I'll go get our coats.
Andy: Um... Listen, Nicole, uh, before we leave...I think I need to clear something up because you've... Well, you've got the wrong idea about what's going on between Sharon and me.
N:What do you mean the wrong idea?
A:Uh, well, we're not really... Okay, the truth is that we're...
S:Andy and I are friends, v-very good friends, but that... that's all.
N:Really? No. Oh, come on. Dad, is that true?
A:Yeah. Kind of.
N:Oh, my God. How could... How could you completely mislead me like that?
A:Occupational hazard? [pausing] All right, look, it's simple. You like Sharon so much that you seemed to respect me a little bit more, like... like... like back when you were a kid, you know? So... All right, did I act like mine and Sharon's relationship was a little bit more serious than it is? Possibly. Did I exaggerate the dating part? A bit. When I said that Sharon and I were a couple, was that a distortion of the facts?
S:Andy, excuse me. Nicole, the bottom line is, your father is just trying to be the kind of dad that you can truly be proud of. That's all.
N:By pretending to be something that he's not?
Rusty (rolling his eyes like he couldn't believe what idiots they were being):Oh, can I interrupt? Uh...
A:Please.
R:Do you mind? I just... I live in the middle of this, and... May I just ask a few questions so that Nicole understands?
S:Of course.
A:Why not?
R: Okay, so, t-the two of you, you... you go out to dinner... a lot.
S:Sometimes.
A:Y-yeah, we... we go to dinner. Go out to dinner
A and S (at the same time: Sometimes.

R:And, Lieutenant Flynn, you take Sharon to the movies?
S: Occasionally.
A:Y-yeah, well, we...we go the the movies.
S: Occasionally.
A:W-we go to the movies.
R:There was also that Dodger game in September. And the charity banquet at the Japanese-American museum, oh, and we're all going to the ballet with each other's families as a part of Christmas.
Nicole 8aas she and Rusty grins and look at each other rolling their eyes): I see, but they're definitely not dating... as far as you know.
R: Or as far as they know.
N:Well, thank you for clearing all that up for me, guys. Now we better hurry. I do not want to be fighting traffic.
A:Uh, Nicole... So, uh... You're not mad about this?
N:About what?
Sharon (whispering to Rusrty as Nicole and Andy are talking in the hall): We're not dating.
Rusty (still rolling his eyes):Several times a month. [camera closes on Sharon as she reflects on her son's words).

fandom meme 2013-14

borrowed fromtromana and justlook3 ...

(note: the meme follows mostly Italian airings/releases, so forgive any inaccurancy)

1. Your main fandom of the year:  It's kinf of hard to say. it's a battle between TNC's Major Crimes and CBS' The Mentalist. And even if I think that in season 4 and 5 TM was a bit frail in few spots, well, I still love with a passion. And I would never let it go. So, yeah- The Mentalist.
2. Your favorite film this year: I'll say The Silver Lining playbook- I know it's a 2012 movie, but in Italy in was relreased in March, 2013, so let's pretend it's a 2013 movie, shall we?
3. Your favorite book this year: Strangely enough, it's an Italian book. it's a short novel, by actor/director/screenwriter/novelist Rocco Papaleo: Una piccola Inpresa meridionale. Papaleo also wrote, starred and directed the movie based on his novel, and I'm planning on catching up with it as soon as it hit the stores. As for English books... "ARGO" ny Matt baglio and Frank Mendez, about the CIA operation narrated in the namesake movie.
4. Your favorite album or song this year: Bonfire heart by James Blunt
5. Your favorite TV show this year: Uhm. Mentalist or Major Crimes? Favorite.. Major Crimes. The charactes developed quite nicely in the second season. I came to apprecoiate characters that in The Closer I hated, and discovered they are just human beings.
6. Your favorite LJ community this year: The Mentalist Big Bang. Because through the Mentalist I got an hold of many new friends :)
7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year: Arrow or Elementary? Between the two...  Arrow.
8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year: NCIS: RED the third NCIS spin-off that, in fact, didn't go in production. It was awaited for months and months, and then... ugh. With the exception of Scott Grimes' character, it was a terrible pilot with terrible acting.
9. Your TV boyfriend of the year: Tommy Merlyn from Arrow. Unfortunately, he is currently dead, but at June he was still alive :)
10. Your TV girlfriend of the year: Teresa Lisbon . againa nd again and again. I'd marry her.
11. Your biggest squee moment of the year: Jane and Lisbon seeing each other again for the first time after tow years. oh, and the first scene of Capaldi as the new doctor.
12.  Your most missed old fandom: The X-files. the fact it was 20 years since the pilot this september made me miss it more and more.
13. Your fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to? Scandal? The Newroom? I've just saw glimpses of Scandal, and I haven't been able to get a real feel out of thiese few minutes....
14. Your biggest anticipation of the New Year: Peter Capaldi as 12. :) can't wait to see him. I was already  taken in the first scene :)

tv shows pilot: go on, and common law

well, I just saw, through itunes, the pilot of mattew perry's new show, "go on",which should premeir next semptember-october.
well... and I'm not sure. the shows isperfect for Perry's comedic side, but with a small amount of darnkness and pain_ is the story of a radio performer who's snet into theraphy to deal with his grief over the death of his wife.
apparently, that should be the main topic: showing the pain and the wayto get back, and move on, of all the group through perry's character and his unusual way of helping the others out... there's the boy who has lost the brother, and didn't say a word untill perry's character satrted to talk with him about more or less nothing, the woamn who gets her anger out for the loss of her gilrfriend, and so on.... even if, i have to say, the most chomicl thing is looking at Lauren, the grieving counselor, who's been a weightwatcher "operative" and uses her old methods on people who has lost their beloved, so sure that there's no wya it can't be not working....

another show deling with theraphy is "COMMON LAW", which ended last week. A whole middle season , and I don't know how I feel about it, even if, if i have to be hisnet, the finale was the best thing doen untill now, probably because it looked like more like a common cop show, and not s mixture between comedy and cop show.

notable mentions: After almost 8 years, Kyra Sedgwick - the woman in the pics eating bisquits -is leaving TNT'S "The Closer", leaving her team to deal with MAry McDonnell's character, Sharon Raydor, who's been a regular in the closer for the last couple of seasons;  as from this night, "The Closer" leaves room to "Major Crimes", maintaning an almost uncahnged cast.
