Backrooms punched above its weight, turning a simple YouTube horror series into something that kept you tense and on the edge of your seat.
A sterile yellow haze, daunting open spaces, intense panic in small spaces, and the haunting distorted lo-fi/synth score keep in spirit of the original creation. Slow tension stretched for 105 minutes only amplifies the short and violent instances and leaves you needing a new pair of pants.
