I don’t think this movie could be more surface level, family friendly or sugar coated. Unsurprisingly produced by several of his siblings who seem intent on cherry picking a narrative that delves into nothing. Weirdly, Janet is written out of the family, she’s so glaringly absent. That all being said, the music is nonstop bangers, and I absolutely loved the Thriller video recap and the final two live performance scenes. Glad I saw it on a huge screen in a historic LA theater.

Fun, light and easy to watch. Not as funny or likable as the first but worth every second for the masterclass that is Meryl Streep.

The ending is divisive but I loved it. Jesse Plemons was robbed of an academy award nomination—he’s so good! Emma Stone is fantastic as always and it was nice to see Alicia Silverstone in a small but significant role. One critical point is that Silverstone isn’t old enough to play Plemons’ mother and the age discrimination against women in Hollywood is tiring. Excellent directing, plot progression and surreal storytelling lend to its appeal and overall awesomeness.

Surprisingly brilliant! This film wildly fails the Bechdel test, and yet I still loved it. Timothee Chalamet delivers another incredible performance, creating a deeply flawed character that you can’t help but root for. The directing, pacing, and camera work are stellar. I laughed, cried and was captivated the entire time. For me, this was up there with the best 2025 films. I’ll absolutely watch this one again.
