It’s no question how the formula for this movie is used over and over again. Kurosawa was a genius.

I already knew based on the reviews of friends I trusted that this film was going to be enjoyable. What I didn’t expect was how moved I was going to be from a horror film. The most moved, in fact, since watching A Quiet Place in theaters.

Everything in this movie worked. I could tell that Derrickson and Cargill poured their heart out in this movie. I empathized with every character, ESPECIALLY our protagonists, who were FANTASTIC. I laughed, I cried, and I was definitely on edge.

I want to own this movie. This was something special.
