I love it when my wife gets a random craving for legendary genre flicks. 

I don’t even question where her urge to watch ROBOCOP right after our son’s 9th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese came from…I just follow the prime directive and hit play.

My first and best film discovery of 2020. Started off seemingly laughably bad, with the accents and slang presented as a minstrel show...but then it keeps going. 

The performances get stronger, the narratives denser, and a parade of amazing character actors crawl in from the wings.

I was aghast when I realized the run time was over 3hrs, but by the end, I was disappointed it wasn’t longer.
