Midnight viewing at the Vista in 35mm. It was my first time seeing it in theaters, and the crowd was incredible. Nothing like being in a theater watching a film you love and the crowd reacting exactly how you'd imagine. The vista is such beautfiul place.
Side note, have gone to the New Bev enough that I forgot women actually go to theaters. The Vista crowd is what QT thinks he looks like, the New Bev crowd is the actual reflection.
Nolte was out of his mind for this performance. Maybe the most "gahd dammit"s I've ever heard in a film. Friedken directed a great moral dilemma that I'm sure many coaches faced prior to NIL. I wonder how hot the news was around coaches paying players in the 90's because Ron Shleton's script had some great commentary about the college basketball landscape that is still applicable today.
So many cameos by basketball icons. Any hoops fan should give this a watch.
