Rewatch with kids during our unofficial Wes Anderson summer film festival. I'm convinced Owen Wilson isn't acting in this. He is Dignan. Still on one of my favorite WA movies.

Wes Anderson gets more and more Wes Anderson. And I have no problem with that. Wes it up, baby.

Look, this has plenty of flaws, but it legitimately made me laugh out loud a lot. The kid is wonderful. And Jennifer Lawrence is a master of bizarrely funny sex comedy. When she puts her chin on the table, omg. She's all in, trying all the wrong ways to seduce this boy. Every choice the wrong one, but enthusiastically self-assured.

Decent adaptation of a wonderful book. Anika Noni Rose steals every scene she’s in.
