I really wanted to like this more than I did. The milieu of the indie scene, here in 2013 Montreal, is not completely unlike the one I came of age in, where it's a scattered bunch of young, wannabe artists that veer into pretension and insecurity. This is very specific and, from what I understand, very accurate as far as indie dudes and music review publishing. A kind of sleazy world that's exciting and repulsive for a woman.
