there’s a raw uncomfortably to this but it feels human. Also definitely satire with the whole celebrity culture but I will give it high praise in its slowness and the film letting you bask in what is happening. Elle fanning’s acting is so great and made me cry. The dad on the other hand…welp…but anyways it captures this 2010s era of growing up, sadly I can relate a bit to this but the nostalgia feels so painfully sweet.
maybe I am Ryan gosling bias I love him so much but the visuals are so good T__T I love rocky and grace and damn this movie hit me hard. I am up for movies showing and breathing human made art and u can see it through this!!
idk why but rocky made me think of the hand paintings from the caves of Altamira and that touched my heart a lot. and I know theres a connection I just need to digest this movie for a good time with a milkshake or smoothie.

I’ll come back with more in depth reaction about this film. But this might take the gold for me of film of the year. Yes it is animated but it takes the cake for reaching across the audience and truly makes u feel how u might have felt as young kid.
