this was truly one of the best movies i’ve ever seen. instant favorite, had me within the first damn 60 seconds. a masterclass in just about everything it set out to accomplish.

maybe i’m too #woke or whatever, but i find absolutely nothing attractive about a “romance” between a woman who deeply suffers under a system of oppression & a women who directly benefits from said system…while choosing to make no real change despite the hurt it’s causing those around her… all bc she’s too comfortable with how well the system treats her. that’s not a “tortured romance”, its just a tired tale i’m tired of seeing…
