Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Solves the biggest problem that the originals had, which is that each of the Volumes were one bookend missing the other. Together, they are a magnum opus, a love letter to the genre, and there's some all-time performances here. The soundtrack moves between genres so deftly, and there's at least a half-dozen needle drops that are perfection. What else is there to say?

I prefer how the story sequencing is changed for this format, the cringe intro from Vol 2…

There's more to life than a little bit of money, but here ya are, and it's a beautiful day

Some quick hits:
  - the score is so beautifully haunting, and such a perfect match and complement to the tone and atmosphere of the film.
  - "a little funny-looking" is so funny. Buscemi is a real cool dude to go along with that. We need more little funny-looking dudes in Hollywood

This movie is offensively bland, empty, padded for time, and up its own butt in shallow, repetitive metaphor and "meaning". There's absolutely a compelling premise, and I can get over how mildly plodding it is in getting to it. But once it's finally introduced, there's essentially no story for the rest of it. It introduces basically the only reasonable explanation BEFORE the vanishing, we spend a ton of time watching the only suspect prove to us that explanation, and then…

Oddly, a movie exemplifying the American experience and ideals - we have a broken criminal justice system punishing good folk, putting them by the worst of the worst, all run by mean, spiteful gov’t officials. YET, despite all that evil and degeneracy, a laconic hero with shredded arms can win the day with a couple punches and kicks. We all want that to be something that’s possible! Plus there’s a ton of explosions and gunfire.

I liked this a good…

Low-brow torture porn. I'm a horror fan who can handle a lot when it comes to violence and gore, but I turned this off after the RV invasion because the rape and violence against women is utterly tasteless and vile. It isn't entertainment to me, and I think horror shouldn't lower itself to this, it can be so much more. Everything else about this is mediocre. Get outta here with this trash.

We're All Going to the World's Fair

While enduring the many long, dull scenes, I began to think up how this film could possibly end in an interesting way. Will she spiral into psychosis and supernatural body horror? Is this a Weeb Who Cried Wolf situation where she is faking it at first, but then it becomes real? Is the challenge a prank to trick autistic people into outing themselves by trying to save a World's Fair "victim"? Is this a Synecdoche, New York-esque version of seeing…
