i got to see speed racer (4K) (2026) in IMAX on April 20, 2026. it was the single most joyful and meaningful theatre going experience of my life. 

As soon as I got tickets this was all I could think about. it was Monday morning post gym that I thought this:

I owe the 7:30 crowd at the independent Avalon theatre a good deal. never did I consider this a comedy until this showing was filled with everyone giggling at the same time. everyone went reservedly NUTS at the hand flex. Lots of eeeeeeks and oooooooo!!’s. And then raucous laughter at “what a charming house” (gripping the gloves awkwardly). This was their superbowl. 

Seeing this on the big screen was simply so awesome. it really lets you appreciate how this whole thing…
