After realizing I had to cut every single grass blade and it taking me over 3 minutes to do so with a Rank D, I retried again to see if I could do better and faster. I was able to to do it faster at about exactly 2 minutes but I did worse in ranking with an E because I failed to realize there wasn't a speed bonus the first time I beat it haha. The controls took a sec to get used to but they're not bad, I think just the bouncing off the walls and such and it adjusting the arrow was the only disorienting part. I will say the arrow above the player could be a bit more apparent since it kinda blends in with the spin effect. Maybe a vibrant yellow or orange would've made it easier to see. I had fun with this entry and I think it's a unique implementation of the theme. Awesome work!
Thanks for the feedback, we will definitely consider it when polishing the game!
I admit the ranking system is in need of reworking - there is a time bonus but it is veeery small, and the best way to get S rank on the upper and right level is to score with a ball in both goals and hitting all the rats (or to get a perfect dash many times cos it gives +50 points). The arrow critique is fair too, since it was just a debug tool we used and didn't have time to change it for the release :b
Sooo fun, honestly at some point I stopped paying attention to the actual score and was just trying to hit that sweet spot over and over!
Does it make sense for the lawncare guy to explode? Maybe not, but it is really fucking cool and that’s all it takes. Amazing job!
Will have to say though, I played the web version and there was some performance issues with the bigger levels- maybe do some occlusion culling if you haven’t already and also the audio cuts up really bad on the web version.
All that aside, really nice game!
Hahaha I'm really glad you enjoyed the effects :b
We wished it ran better on web too, we'll definitely work on optimizing it for a polished release!
Controls were difficult to master, not for everyone, but I had a great time! :)
We wanted it to be a little bit janky, but we may have gone slightly overboard :b
Glad you liked it either way!!
I had fun playing this, you did a good job!
I'm glad you liked it, thank you for playing!!
really good game with nice vfx!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked the effects B)

Loved the mechanic :)
Good job, music maybe a bit low.
Glad to hear you liked it! And yeah I agree - I realized way too late that my own volume was low when adjusting the loudness :,]
Cutting grass is always satisfying :)
It is, right?? I'm glad you enjoyed the grass cutting :p
I had a fun time spinning, and I really loved the graphics! You did an amazing game!💜
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much for the nice comment!! [:
This is very fun! It's very satisfying to spin and bounce around the areas while hearing the grass cut sound. The controls feel good all though I feel like they'd benefit if Bertil's default state allowed him to walk about, especially if there's a singular piece of grass somewhere, hard to notice if he's spinning really fast. Getting the boost from the timing is really cool and I love the little details you have around like the patterns in the grass and scoring a goal. Really cool that the npcs recognize your progress too! Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Such a very nice comment, thank you very much!! I'm glad you seem to have enjoyed the game, and that you went outta your way to score a goal as well heheh c:
Making Bertil be able to walk around for more precise grass cutting is a really nice suggestion - we definitely want to avoid frustrations over missing the last few pieces of grass!
Super jucy game!
Did you use the 3D tile map (I forgot what it's called) to build the world?
We really wanted to make it juicy - I'm glad you liked it!! And yeah we used the Gridmap3D node in Godot for building the stages! (and for the grass we placed "placeholder grass" in the gridmap, that is replaced with the cuttable grass objects when the game loads) [:
Very interesting game, but I was tired of so much spinning, the controls were hard to master.
Thanks for the feedback, it's understandable that the controls might have felt a bit janky heheh
Super unique game and very creative with the theme. The gameplay feels great, and I love the extra stuff like shooting goals. You could spend a lot of time in this one perfecting your grass cutting skills!
Thanks for the nice feedback!! I'm glad you found such enjoyment in practicing grass cutting :b
Very fun game, it was incredible being able to make a ton of "rainbow splashes" in a row
And the satisfaction of scoring a goal just to check and get a ton of points it was nice !
Congrats!!
I'm glad you liked it, we really wanted to make it feel satisfying! [:
Had a ton of fun! It's super satisfying to cut a bunch of grass while going mega fast. Also, finding patterns hidden in the grass was a great touch! The music and graphics are awesome. Finding the last piece of grass was very fulfilling each time. The movement is also very creative and fun! I was really into it. Spectacular work!
Thank you for the kind comment! Super glad you enjoyed it, and found some patterns in the grass :b
Really chill and nice game to play! I enjoyed its seriousness, vibrant look and relaxing vibe;)
Thanks for the nice feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!! [:
i appreciate embracing the silliness of the game, the movement is very fun and I enjoyed blitzing through the screen after getting a full charge. Since every bit of grass needs to be cut before progressing to the next level, I found that I had to slow down to get more control, which is less fun than catapulting around at full speed. Maybe instead you could try to cut as much grass as possible in a set time, as this would incentivise going faster and using the boost without having to slow down as much to cut every small bit you miss.
Thanks for the elaborate feedback! I think that could be a really good alternative for a future update, we definitely want to address the current stage clearing requirement as it breaks the flow of the game a bit right now [:
Such a fun entry! It was very satifying to get the grass cut with the boosting motion. Took me a bit to get the hang of moving while spinning and reboosting the spin (could've been a skill issue). I would've liked to get a bit more of a structured guidance on getting through the game. The music is very enjoyable.
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the nice comment! We'll definitely want to address the poor guidance in a future update, I suspect that a bunch of players missed that there are 3 levels in the game because of it :,)
Very fun game! Very good use of the theme, and it is soo satisfying play. I really liked the thing that you can release the spacebar in time to make an expansive wave
Thanks for the nice comment, I'm glad you liked it!! [:
Very cool! Spinning was was very fun. I think there's some audio issues though. I had to turn it up a lot to hear it and it was distorted sometimes.
Thanks for the feedback! I realized way after the deadline that I had been adjusting the volumes when my own volume was rly low :,) and I think the distortion comes from us being a bit enthusiastic with the grass for the browser to handle heheh
