Gabriel

Gabriel, played by Richard Speight Jr. is the youngest of the four archangels. When Michael and Lucifer started arguing and then fightin, Gabriel took himself away from heaven and retreated to earth. Disguising himself as a trickster, a Pagan God, he was a constant thorn in the side of the Winchester brothers, cheekily and mischieviously sending them into fun-filled alternate realities and groundhog day scenarios.

However, eventually the brothers Winchester discovered his secret, that he was in fact Gabriel. Trapped in a ring of holy fire, he explains that his decision to take on a vessel and go into witness protection was the equivalent of having a face transplant.
