After a long, long flight, I've returned to Blighty from Australia for ten weeks or so. I and a friend are staying in static caravans (plural: we're not daft) not far from my old stamping grounds. I'm showing her the ropes, as she's never been to the Old Country before, and we're generally settling in and recovering, getting over jet lag, etc. In a few days we may even be functioning, though I wouldn't bet on it.
So far, it's been raining about half the time. 'Twas ever thus.

Date: 2023-09-18 07:42 am (UTC)But I like autumn here, so am looking forward to some nice colours on the trees, which we don't get down under.
Autumn can be so nice when it wants to be! I hope it obliges for you.
