Title:we're young and we can be cruel because we choose to House: Ravenclaw Word Count: 100 Rating:Characters: Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy Challenge: Shame Author’s Notes: I had about 10 minutes to spare, I was listening to this song, and this drabble is what happened title from "Lemon Juice and Papercuts" by Camera Obscura.
Ginny was ashamed.
Ashamed as she watched his fingers coil maliciously around his wand and longed to feel their slender lengths lacing like ivy through her hair.
Ashamed as she watched his cheeks rise high with pride and wished to make them burn with the roseate stain of her lips.
Ashamed as she watched his sharp, jaunty hips whipping him smugly out of sight and wanted only to feel their acquiescent rhythm beneath her palms.
It was filthy. It was wrong.
Yet somehow, when Draco seized her harshly by the waist and crushed his mouth into hers, she felt no shame.
Title: Hesitation House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Ginny and Draco (or Harry) Challenge: Missing Word Count: 100 A/N: Works for any of the characters, really. Use your own if you so desire.
Closing her eyes, she presses her forehead against the window, letting the glass cool her down. As he walks in the room, she opens her eyes to stare pensively out into the darkness.
He sighs as he sees her there; hesitant to ask why she always comes home after work and stares out the window for thirty minutes before she will talk.
Both of them carry their own scars from the War. Both of them deal with it in their own ways. It will be the death of their marriage, this refusal to talk about whom they are really missing.
Title: Shattered House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Hermione Challenge: Missing Word Count: 100 A/N: Warning, character deaths ahead.
It will get better.
The doctors promised it as she lay in the hospital wing, each breath an act of agonizing torture.
It will get easier.
She cursed them silently as her body mended, cursed them for healing a shattered spine, cursed them for being right.
Partially.
When Hermione walked out of St. Mungo’s under her own power, the day should have been triumphant. Certainly, it was a miracle of Wizarding powers that she was able to walk.
That miracle did not extend to mending her shattered heart.
All the miracles in the world could'nt bring Harry and Ron back.
Title: Expressionless House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Harry and Ron Challenge: Missing Word Count: 100 A/N: Depressing as hell. Just so you know. ( Collapse )
Title: Object of Her Desire House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Pansy and Millicent Challenge: Forbidden Word Count: 100 A/N: Just messing with the Slytherins on this one, though, god knows, it could be written for any of them.
She stared at … no; she would not think the name. That would only give it power over her and she would not be able to resist. Turning, she chatted animatedly with Millicent, trying desperately to ignore the object of her desire.
Trying to forget the irresistible allure, the sweet nature, the succulence…
With a snarl, she grabbed for it.
“Pansy,” Millicent caught her reaching hand, “You can’t have it. You‘ll ruin your diet.”
Coldly, Pansy sneered, “Let go of me.” As Millicent reluctantly let go, Pansy snatched it up, “It’s just a chocolate bar. I will work out later.”
Title: Chemistry House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Guess Challenge: Forbidden Word Count: 100 A/N: I had a couple in mind, like usual, but since it fits with so many, I am leaving it open to interpretation. My couple is, of course, completely AU.
How could she do it? He stood for everything she hated, everything she was raised to be better than. Arrogant, conceited, bigoted, lair, the list was damn near endless.
She had to be insane to even consider the idea. Her family would kill her if they found out.
Still, she could not ignore the pull between them, could not resist the chemistry that brewed better than any of her potions.
As she dropped heavily to her knees on the dungeon floor, she felt his hands twist tightly in her hair, and remembered why.
It was all about a submissive’s power.
Title: Anathema House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Draco and Ginny Challenge: Forbidden Word Count: 100 A/N: Again, AU. This is very similar to the one above but from his POV. ( Collapse )
Title: Unshed Blood House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Harry/Hermione Challenge: Forbidden Word Count: 100 A/N: It’s the night before the ending battle in my slightly AU piece (A Parting Gift which is unfinished still) where *points to icon* the inevitable occurs. And, considering APG, the title of this one is very apt. ( Collapse )
Title: Dangerous Paths House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Ginny/Draco Challenge: Games Word Count: 100 A/N: AU again. And obviously not canon. It was just an interesting idea that begged me to write it.
Flirtatious glances, little brush touches, standing just a shade too close; she was ever so subtle in her pursuit of him. Every time he was around, she invented some excuse to touch him, leading him further down the dangerous path.
Late one night, in the depths of the dungeon, she found him in the darkest shadows. For a moment, as he brutally tangled his hands in her hair and kissed her, she almost backed down.
But, she started this game and she would see it through to the end.
Closing her eyes, Ginny allowed Draco to take what he wanted.
Title: Listen When I Speak House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Bellatrix/Rudolphus Challenge: Games Word Count: 100 A/N: Hehe, I so love my favorite dysfunctional Death Eater.
“This is just a game to you, isn’t it?” He demanded, hands clenched bruisingly tight around her arms, “You are just using me, aren’t you?”
Ignoring his vice-like grip, she calmly looked at him, “You know better than that.”
Abashed, he let her go, “Then why won’t you tell me what is going on?”
“Since when,” She ran a fingernail down his cheek, sneering, “do I answer to you?”
With a growl, he slammed his fist into the wall behind her head, “Since the day you married me, Bella!”
She laughed, low and sensuous, “I never promised to obey, Rudolphus.”
Title: Of Kings and Pawns House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Voldemort (and Bellatrix) Challenge: Games Word Count: 100 A/N: Interesting idea that turned out to be a bitch to write. If someone wants to take the same idea and rewrite it, I am all for it. ( Collapse )
Title: Patterns in the Tears House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Pansy and Theodore Challenge: Games Word Count: 100 A/N: AU, what a surprise, lol. Pansy and Theodore are in love but she cannot quite get rid of Draco. ( Collapse )
Title: Seek Comfort House: Hufflepuff Word Count: 100 Characters/Pairings: Draco/Ginny (mentioned), Lucius/Ginny (implied) Rating: PG-13 Challenge: Liquor is Quicker Author Note: Ginny seeks comfort and understanding from another - the after effects of the liquor is always fun.
Title: Hiding House: Slytherin Word Count: 100 Characters/Pairings: Bellatrix, Ginny/draco Challenge: Liquid Author's Notes: future snippet from my fic [full story at inhibitions], happens after HBP events
Cold rain beat down on Ginny's head while Bellatrix told her how dangerous this was, but the teenage girl refused to leave the Malfoys' garden. Ginny thought of all the times she'd sat out here with Draco. Looking at the stars at night when Lucius thought them asleep. Uprooting flowers when Narcissa thought them in their rooms.
The garden was empty now. There was no laughter, no happiness. The rain was a magnifier for her pain. Draco wasn't coming home from school this year. In hiding, just like she was. Alone, hiding.
Title: A Watcher House: Gryffindor Word Count: 100 Characters/Pairings: Ron, Draco/Ginny Challenge: Constant Vigilance Rating: G Author's Notes: Constructive Criticism please :)
Ron was a watcher.
He had seen Malfoy and Ginny--never together, but he saw them exchange glances in the Great Hall and tiny discreet smiles when they bumped into one another in the corridors.
He had seen--and heard--Ginny conversing with Hermione in hushed tones. He had caught a bit of the conversation before they noticed him. "Malfoy--yes, I--no, don't tell him--"
Finally one day in the corridor Malfoy laced his fingers with Ginny's and they walked together through the chaotic halls.
Ron didn't approve, but he didn't disprove either. He was neutral.
Title: Nothing but Watch House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Snape and Dumbledore Challenge: Constant Vigilance Word Count: 100 A/N: Nothing really.
Dumbledore stroked Fawkes’ feathers, seemingly ignoring the argument raging behind him. Finally, he broke in, “I will have to ask you to do nothing.” He turned around, tucking his deadened hand into his robes, “You already know why.”
Whirling around with icy precision, Snape stared at Dumbledore and snarled, “You are asking us to watch you die.” Frustration clearly evident on his face, Snape shook off McGonagall’s restraining hand, “To let you die.”
Dumbledore sighed, “I will ask you for much more before this is finished, Severus.” Shrugging slightly, he smiled, “But for now, you will do nothing but watch.”
Title: Beginnings House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Draco and Ginny Challenge: Constant Vigilance Word Count: 100 A/N: See, now you all have created a monster.
Whirling around, he planted himself in her path, “What the hell do you want?”
Unable to stop, she bumped into him, blushing, “What do you mean?”
Lifting an eyebrow, Draco drawled, “You have been staring at me for weeks.”
“No I haven’t.” She blushed a deeper crimson as she denied the claim.
“Don’t sodding lie to me, Weasley.” He sneered, “You aren’t very good at it.”
Flipping her hair over her shoulder, she smiled, “You’re so smart, you figure it out.”
As she turned to walk away, he grabbed her arm, “I already have.” Lowering his head, he kissed her.
Title: Brief Moment House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Harry, about Hermione Challenge: Constant Vigilance Word Count: 100 A/N: Eh, just some real sweetness here. Not to saccharine, I hope. Just a way I would love for a man to watch me...
Her skin kissed golden in the firelight and her head spread in glorious disarray over the arm of the couch, he watched her fall asleep. She fought it, lord knows, she fought sleep hard, shaking herself back awake every time her head hit the cushions, but she could not fight the inevitable.
He knew she was finished when the crease in between her brow relaxed and her breathing evened out. Still, he was content to sit there and watch her sleep, enjoying the ever brief moment of peace.
Tomorrow was soon enough to worry about Lord Voldemort.
And Ron’s reaction.
Title: Traitor House: Gryffindor Rating: PG Characters: Draco and Ginny Challenge: Constant Vigilance Word Count: 100 A/N: Implied sexual relations. I so love conflicted!Draco and really!screwed!up!Ginny drabbles...
He couldn’t help himself, he watched her, cursing himself a traitor.
She floated by a window, he found an excuse to be under said window, breathing her air. He wanted to kick a kitten for that.
He ghosted behind her in the hallways, unable to look away. He thought about letting Mad Eye transfigure him into a ferret. Permanently.
They bumped into one another, made and dropped eye contact. He could have jabbed his eyes out.
The only time he didn’t feel like a traitor was when she was on her knees and his hands were fisted in her hair.
Title: For Me House: Slytherin Challenge: Dark Mark WC: 100 Rating: PG Characters: Draco/Ginny, Ron
The two starving people, one sister and one former Death Eater, feed each other on the kitchen floor, their scars and his Dark Mark glowing florescent underneath the harsh lights. As Ron shook with sobs, Draco’s shaking hand brought the chowder to Ginny’s pale lips and coaxed her to eat.
“Please, Gin?” Draco’s voice so low only she could hear. “For me? Do this.”
“No.”
“Just one.”
“You eat it. You need to.”
“I’ll eat the next one if you do this, I promise.”
She opened her mouth, and the rest of the world may as well have not existed.
