Oz watches the fall of red hair as if mesmerized. He knows it isn’t her ~ the scent isn’t hers, the voice isn’t hers, the woman taps on the shop glass in a way that is entirely unlike Willow.

But the hair. Red is a color that always catches his attention.

The woman stops talking to her friend and looks over, as if she can feel his gaze upon her. Her eyes narrow.

“What’s the matter, Ginny?” asks the other girl.

He remembers then that this woman, like Willow, is a witch.

He turns away, and continues down Diagon Alley.

“I do not understand why I must submit to this,” Snape hissed to Dumbledore, looking even more surly than usual. "Are you certain we cannot Obliviate them?"

“Indeed yes--American laws are different from ours. Consider it an exercise in how many others in this world must live,” the other man replied merrily, clearly amused.

The door opened, and the Muggle policeman that had brought them into this room came back, followed by a woman.

“We just have some questions regarding the fire at the Lexington,” Brass said.

Sara opened her kit. “For one thing—how’d you make it green?”

The balding prat at the bar, still dewy with his last drink to the face, cocked an eyebrow at a wizening pub-pixie in a pink dress.

"English chicks like magic, right? Well prepare -" He leaned in; she leaned back to get away from his breath. "- to have your knickers knocked off."

Harry pushed back his pint glass. "Isn't the Hart's Tail doing Indian now?"

"Indian! Stellar." They hoisted on their coats.

"Oh COME -" They heard, before the door swung shut behind them.

Hermione looked up from her desk and found herself staring at an older, distinguished-looking man. She had a soft spot for gentlemen in glasses, and this one was even holding Hogwarts, A History.

“May I help you?” she asked.

“I’m doing some research here, with permission of your Headmaster. But I need some assistance in the restricted section.”

Ah, the visiting Muggle. Hermione remembered now. She’d been told to assist him in any way possible. She smiled as she rose. “Let’s see what we can do.”

She was amused to see him blush.

“I’m sorry I can’t help your young friend,” Remus replied apologetically, leaning forward with the teapot to pour more dark liquid into the man’s cup. “I promise you, if I ever find a cure, I will forward it to you at once.”

“I’m afraid by then no one will know where he is. We’re losing Oz, a bit more each month. One day he’s going to bolt.”

“Give him my address, then,” Remus offered. “Perhaps I can help him learn to live with being a werewolf.”

Note: The character that has lines in this drabble is from Revolutionary Girl Utena, though it's Tomcentric and should still make sense if you know nothing of that series.  The crossover's really more thematic than literal in my opinion.

This was not love, but it was close, Tom thought.  He existed only in the diary, and of course the diary existed only in her.

The Morning Star laughed.  "An innocently cruel mistress?"

To Tom's chagrin, it was true in this case.  No matter what he had once been, his sole existence now was the troubles and triumphs of an eleven-year-old girl, spilled out like so much ink into his own soul.  Somehow, the child had a power he could never fathom.

He smiled the smile of a kindred spirit.  "Are we not slaves to our women, Tom?"

Ron gaped at the widening crack at the door. Tousles of raven hair emerged, brushing a black plastic frame of spectacles -
