Watching Killed By Death just before bed is a BAD idea. I'd forgotten just how utterly terrifying Der Kinderstod was. I think he gives The Gentlemen and Gnarl a good run for their money in the scariest demon category.
Tried to make myself a little better by watching Band Candy afterwards but I'm still a little creeped out. Why are houses always scarier when you know you're alone?

Settled myself down to watch some TV while I ate lunch and found myself watching Dawson's Creek. I really hate this show but I couldn't seem to turn it off. Even when I'd finished eating I still have to wait for it to finish before I turned the TV off. I need help!
Ah well, time to go and do some cleaning and other domestic stuff. Then I'm going to settle myself down and do some reading. I was going to continue my Buffy marathon but it feels weird watching it during the day. I'll have to wait til it's night and then continue

Do you ever find yourself having really depressing thoughts for no reason? Was sat at my computer this evening when all of a sudden I started thinking about how my parents aren't going to be around forever and sooner or later I'll be all alone. Nearly started crying and felt the sudden urge to call them and tell them how much I appreciate them.
Of course they both work shifts and no one was home.
jazz_police complimented me on one of my photos yesterday so on a whim I entered it in a photography competition. Don't expect to win or anything but I figure you should give these things a shot.
Been another long day today. Greg and I did our best to keep the volume down so boss lady had a go at another guy for whistling along to the radio instead :-S
I'm still helping out this other department and it's the most tedious work ever. Meh. Still, it's only until the end of this week
Took some small satisfaction in making Dave squirm. Greg's phone rang this afternoon and he was out of the office so I answered it. As soon as I started talking the person hung up. I just knew it was him so when Greg got back I told him Dave had called. Greg phoned back and although I could only hear Greg's side of the conversation, Dave cleary hadn't expected me to guess it was him. Infant!
It's Lost day and I don't have to go to work! Shall start the download going and then go back to bed for a bit (because I can). Should be finished when I wake up again
Lost is on 47% I bet it doesn't take anywhere near as long as this when I'm not sitting around waiting for it. I'm going to go and clean the house to amuse myself...
Well, I'm having a productive day off. I've watched Lost, made all my icontest entries and the house is mostly tidied. Just need to finish off the washing up and run the vacuum cleaner around. While jacqui_hw watches Lost tonight I think I'll watch Closer. I have very low expectations of this film given that it stars Clive 'plank of wood can act better than me' Owen but we shall see

This afternoon Dad-Ra and I are off to a retail outlet to have a look around the shops and then we're going to take Max for a walk. I think the plan is to pop into PC World so Dad-Ra can look at some games. While we're there I can petplay with look at my potential new laptop
I had 32 e mails in my inbox this morning and only 2 of them were actual e mails. The rest was Yahoogroups spam. This is getting insane!

Apparently I cannot switch off tech support mode. Was just in my local stationary shop buying a nice pen (for fic writing) and there was a lady in front of me asking about printers. The girl behind the counter seemed pretty clueless so I spent about 10 mins chatting to the lady about different options.
Felt good about it afterwards so it must have clocked me some karma points. LOL!

My God that was epic! When they say 'complete' they mean complete and then some! 279 stories or 1000 pages later and I finally finished this beast. It was interesting, but hard work towards the end. This books contains not only all the famous fairy tales, but a lot of folk tales and a whole bunch of stuff that was never finished. There's a lot of repetition and alternative versions of the same tale but for the most part I did enjoy it. It's certainly got me in the mood to finish my Snow White AU

FML I have had the WORST day! Why do our servers always wait until my boss is away to break? When neither me or Greg are qualified to fix them but are expected to anyway. Woe.
And then I came to loggerheads with someone about spoilers. It's not the first time and I doubt it will be the last. I don't deny people the right to post whatever they like in their own journal in whatever format they like, but I've made it clear that people who don't use cuts will be taken off my flist. It's the first time I've had to do it to someone from my 'close friends' filter though and this makes me kind of sad.
Had a dream last night that Gabriel came back but he had amnesia and had no idea who he was. He had to give him this big romantic speech about how I would love him no matter what and that even though he couldn't remember who he was I still knew his heart.
It's weird because, yes, I do love Richard and Gabriel but I wouldn't say I find him attractive. In my dream I really, really did.

Hawke has no idea the cat is Fenris, and promptly gifts him to Anders. Anders is over the moon to have a cat again and is constantly carrying him around, talking to him, playing with him, etc." Okay, this is adorable
Dorian/Cullen (Dragon Age) Cold Hands, Warm Heart by spicyshimmy, stonelions Cullen and Dorian's friendship deepens. Cullen is a romantic. Dorian is literally cold. Cullen is no longer certain what he would consider surprising. Mages and Templars working in perfect cooperation, perhaps. Evil and corruption disappearing into the ground along with the blight, blood magic falling so far out of favor it ceased to be. A united Thedas: that would be a surprise. God, this is exactly the exploration of Dorian and Cullen’s friendship/relationship. I’d have loved this even without the shippy stuff.
Steve/Tony (MCU) can't help it if it's true by allourheroes Tony thinks he's finally caught on to the big secret of Steve and Bucky, but he might not be the genius he's always thought himself to be. In fact, he might be the biggest idiot in the tower if the way Steve eyes him--which just so happens to be the same way Bucky and Sam eye each other--is anything to go by. This one is really sweet
