What is Fibre Internet?

How do I get Fibre installed?
Check your address for coverage, purchase a starter pack for R199, and we’ll handle installation and activation at no extra cost.
How long does installation take?
Typically we aim for 3-5 working days, depending on weather conditions.
Is there a contract or credit check?
No, there are no long-term contracts and no credit checks — you’re free to cancel at any time, and monthly billing will stop immediately once you do. However, if you cancel within the first 12 months, a R1500 clawback fee applies for the subsidised installation.
Is the service really uncapped?
Yes. Herotel Fibre is uncapped and unshaped, with no throttling or data caps.
What speed packages are available?
We offer a range of speeds (e.g. 60 Mbps, 120 Mbps, 200 Mbps). Choose the package that best suits your home or business needs.
Is the router included?
Yes. Every Fibre installation includes a free-to-use router during the service period.
Can I upgrade or change my package later?
Yes. You can upgrade to a faster speed or switch packages easily.
What happens if I move?
If your new address is within a Herotel coverage area, we can relocate your service. Otherwise, you can simply stop without cancellation fees.
Will I be online during power outages or loadshedding
Answer is yes, you will be, our sites runs on backup power, this means that if you have a UPS and your power is on, your internet will be on.
