So, apparently, this whole [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth thing is a bigger deal around here and thus exposure opportunity than I’d previously dismissed it to be. With that in mind, I figured I’d take said opportunity and a short break from aforementioned and more intensive matters by actually taking part this year—foremost with, ideally, a new post every week on here as per a meme I pick up from this event’s feed or elsewhere. I hope for these to provide a fuller picture as to my persona at time of posting, especially in lieu of the updated set of [community profile] addme(-fandom) entries that I still have yet to put together…

…Which brings me to this questionnaire that I caught wind of through [personal profile] tielan et al., which I’ll in turn be making use of as a ‘mini-Minilogue’ of sorts—something that I’ve bitterly considered resigning to as yet another reduction of pretense to regular posting besides, but have so far stubbornly refused as a point of personal pride…

…I’m always happy to have my cake and eat it too, though, so:

The Last…

Movie I watched: The last one I can be sure of is Godzilla Minus One, which I do not regret one bit sitting down for the night it dropped on Netflix. While I do think some of its sung praises are definitely a bit overstated, it was absolutely an artful experience and I’m as of now eagerly awaiting this big G’s apparent landfall in America.

Series I finished: Ted…up until its second season, that is, which I plan in turn to binge after refreshing myself on the first. I had half-hearted plans to finally watch the movie too while it was still on Peacock, but being half-hearted indeed, they wound up falling through—in any case, I’m looking forward to letting some new bits live in my head rent-free alongside what’s there already.

Book I finished: …Uh…as far as traditionally published and/or printed prose goes, that would shamefully enough have to be the original Jurassic Park back when I was either still in or fresh out of high school—and honestly, were it not for my at-the-time long-established love for the franchise, I’m not even sure I would’ve mustered that much. Even out of the fair few audiobooks I’ve outright bought or otherwise looked into in the several years since, I haven’t really sat down to commit to any of them in even the short term…and to be completely honest with myself, I don’t see that changing all too drastically anytime soon.

Book I bought: Aside from all the (TT)RPG(-adjacent) PDFs across my itch.io and DriveThruRPG libraries as of late, that would have to be the Monster Girl Encyclopedia Ⅰ and . As per the previous response, I haven’t actually cracked either volume open even after a few years—and if we’re being completely honest, I primarily bought them both as a tribute to my (mostly) secondhand appreciation of the franchise and its trickle-down influence on my psychosexual idiosyncrasies…though as of recently, they might have more reasons than many of their yet-perpetually shelved peers for me to finally peruse their pages in particular.

Book I received as a gift: Tony Robbins’ Money: Master the Game, as gifted to me by my mom for one of my post-teen birthdays. Of course, with a tagline like “7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom”, I’ve never even taken a look inside until skimming its table of contents as I’m writing this—and it also lacks even a token place on my backlog.

Food I ate: Aside from the cup of noosa-brand blueberry yogurt that I slurped down whilst writing this, that’d be a Filet-o-Fish with no tartar sauce this afternoon—one of the only two lunchtime sandwiches I even regularly eat from McDonald’s (the other being a McChicken with usually just the bread and meat). I’ve tried out their cheeseburgers once or twice, at least, but never felt inclined further than that…

Meal I cooked: A few fried sausages, admittedly more than a few months back—my mom does most of the cooking for the both of us, though I could pick up the slack for myself were she to get tired of it.

Drink I had: A serving of diet Coca-Cola, as per the afore-alluded-to McDonald’s visit, with some judiciously sprinkled-in lemon juice—the latter of which I make use of every day out of an ever-deepening fear of developing even a single kidney stone.

Song I listened to: Woodkid’s “Run Boy Run”, as used in this slice of cinema that I found in my YouTube feed this morning—and also in one of the hype-as-hell trailers for Dying Light, which is where I first heard it at all (and thus where a nostalgic attachment stems from).

Album I listened to: The original soundtrack for Jujutsu Kaisen’s third season—through which the series yet keeps up one of my favorite collective scores across anime as a medium, and Yoshimasa Terui his position as one of my personal top composers to date. “Projection”, “Caught Off Guard”, and “A Three-Cornered Fight” are a few of what I consider its highlights, obviously cathartic pick of “Ripple” aside; they and more have been especially inspiring earworms of mine as of late.

Playlist I listened to: One onion_mu’s slice of the Monster Crown: Sin Eater (demo) soundtrack—for particular (and now probably obvious) reasons I’ll make mention of in a moment. On that note, I’d apparently forgotten how much of a fancy I’d taken to a few of its tracks—shout-out to the erratically energetic melodies of “Sporting Battle”, for one.

Concert I went to: In all honesty, I can’t say. I know that I’ve been to a concert before—one I remember my Big Brother™ inviting me to, but not much else as of now (even the music(ians) involved). I’m not much enthused for live concerts as a concept, though, and have yet to find one that induces enough FOMO to override that fact, so…

Game I played: Indeed, as per my perusing the demo’s soundtrack, Monster Crown: Sin Eater as of its full release this week—which, after an appreciative but abrasive brush with its way-rougher predecessor way back when, I’m taking a much firmer shining to so far. Granted, I haven’t sunk my teeth into its iteration of the duology’s claim-to-fame crossbreeding system just yet, and am crossing my fingers besides that the potential grind I see before me yet has opportunities to streamline1, but if worst comes to worst I fuck enough with the overall vibes to cruise through on the Story difficulty.

Person I talked to: My mom, who I told I was fine with eggs for dinner tonight (if anything—though I doubt she’d let me off with no protein at all).

Person I texted: Also my mom, who I sent a picture of a signboard on WhatsApp as previously requested.

This wound up taking way longer than I predicted, though I suppose that’s par for the course for my incessant perfectionism…which I could have so accounted for in said predictions, but like, shut up.

(Don’t actually shut up, though; I like seeing comments on my stuff.)

1 Of most immediate concern is some kind of experience-sharing mechanic—which I get might step on the toes of fusion somewhat, but not enough to where I’d write it off entirely
