Do Fish Burps Echo?

Wow, it's been three weeks since I last posted something. I've been busy and stressed lately and I haven't had time to write/post/read/comment/etc and when I have had time I mostly haven't had the brainpower. I'm not caught up on my flist/dwircle reading-- I've read bits and pieces occasionally but it's been scattered. It hasn't helped that for a while it seemed whenever I checked out my flist/circle I'd find posts with links to things like United Airlines being shitheads or Sonoma County being shitheads (not linked because I really don't feel like finding&reading them again) And feel free to read much stronger word(s) into 'shitheads'... I am once again left with the feeling that I cannot find words to properly express my reactions-- I haven't even finished reading any of the linked articles on the Sonoma County shittery because just the summaries alone turned my stomach (thank goodness I didn't find those entries on a full or empty stomach because otherwise I might well have been fighting nausea, as it was, it tied my stomach in knots.) And of course, running into things which just add to my stress isn't a good idea when already stressed and thus I haven't been hanging out too much.

In happier news, the [languages page at the audiofic archive] has grown a few new languages lately. In numbers+podfic+dork news, you can find audiofiles of [folks reading prime numbers at librivox] and of someone [reading the digits of pi (link via toft)]. I can't quite explain why but these are fun.

Okay, back to doing things.
