The Wooden Cavalry (Japanese: グルニアの木馬隊 Grunia's Wooden Horse Corps) is a mighty artillery regiment in service to the Kingdom of Grust.[1] The army consists of ballisticians and is led by Grigas.

History

During the War of Shadows, the Wooden Cavalry and its leader Grigas were stationed at Fort Menedy. It engaged in battle against the Archanean League in the year 604 AC,[a] during the League's march towards Altea.[5] Grigas's forces were ultimately unsuccessful in blocking the League's path and were defeated.

The Wooden Cavalry is mentioned in chapter 5 of Hiroshi Yamaguchi's Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light novelization, where the army was described by Catria to have been deployed at the town of Knorda and fell to the Independent Archanean Army before it reclaimed Archanea Palace.
