The Knight (Japanese: アーマーナイト Armor Knight), known as the Armored Knight in Three Houses and Fortune's Weave, is a class of heavily-armored foot soldiers. Introduced in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, they have appeared in some form in every title since; in Thracia 776, Radiant Dawn, and Engage, Knights do not directly appear, being divided into a set of three or four variations each wielding a different weapon type: the Lance Armor, Sword Armor, Axe Armor and, only in the Jugdral duology, Bow Armor.
Knights are defined by their status as bulky armor units, possessing very high defense and HP, and also above-average strength. However, they are limited by their low speed, low resistance, low movement, and harsh terrain penalties. Knights also have higher constitution than other classes.
In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Knights were not able to change class; this was changed from Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem onward, where Knights were connected into a new class change line with the General; this remains the case in almost all of its appearances. In Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, they are a second-tier advanced class; Villagers have the option of promoting to Soldiers, which promote to Knights, which in turn promote to the third-tier Baron class. In Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Awakening, and Fates, in addition to the General, there is also the option of promoting them to Great Knight.

Trivia
- In Fates, the pauldrons worn by generic knights are available as accessories in My Castle.
- In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Black Knight and Edelgard - Five Years Later spirits grant a skill named after the Knight class that lowers movement speed, greatly raises defense power, and slightly raises attack power. However, it is still called by its Japanese name, "Armor Knight", in English.
