The Knight Lord is a combat physical class that debuted in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
History in the Series
One of many promoted forms of the Lord class, the Knight Lord class is most notable for the addition of a mount. The Knight Lord class, much as the preceding Lord class does, wields Swords as its primary weapon of choice, but also gains the secondary ability to arm lances.
In its original inception in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, the Knight Lord class is the promoted form of the Junior Lord class, wielding Swords and Lances as its weapons of choice. It is the base class of first generation protagonist Sigurd and the class that his heir Seliph promotes into.
While the Knight Lord class does not appear in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, there is unused data for it in the game. Unusually, it is able to wield Staves when unmounted, at the cost of losing the ability to use Lances.
The class reappears in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, again as the promoted class of main character Eliwood's Lord class. It retains the ability to wield both Swords and Lances.
In Vestaria Saga I, the Knight Lord is known as the Archliege and is the promoted form of the Liege. It exclusively wields Swords.
