Huton (風遁(ふうとん)(じゅつ), Fūton no Justu?, lit. Unleashed Wind Technique), also known as Futon, is a recurring type of Ninjutsu ability in the Final Fantasy series. The ability deals wind-elemental to a target. It commonly appears in the MMO-genre titles in the series as a substitute for the recurring Gale ability, but has since appeared in certain spin-off titles.

The Ninja learns three different levels of Huton abilities. Huton: Ichi is learned at level 15, Huton: Ni at Level 40, and Huton: San at level 75.

Each Huton ability does wind-elemental damage and lowers the target's resistance to ice damage. Both effects increase in efficiency with the level of the Huton ability used.

Huton Icon. Huton Huton is a ninjustu available to Ninjas at Level 45. Its combination is Jin -> Chi -> Ten or Chi-Jin-Ten. Huton deals 240 potency wind-elemental damage to a target and all enemies nearby it. It also grants the effect of Shadow Walker onto the caster for 20 seconds, allowing for the execution of Trick Attack Trick Attack and Kunai's Bane Kunai's Bane.

In PvP, Huton can be used after executing Three Mudra. Unlike its PvE counterpart, Huton in PvP grants a barrier on the user that absorbs damage equivalent to a heal of 16,000 potency, while also increasing movement speed by 50% and lowering weaponskill recast time by 20%.

From patch 2.4 through the entirety of the Endwalker expansion, the Huton available in PvE functioned as a buff that reduced the user's weaponskill recast times and auto-attack delay by 15%. With the release of the Dawntrail expansion, Huton was revised to be an offensive attack.
