Now Logan Lucky news. I found an interesting plot summary from a casting site.

The Logans are a hardscrabble family from the hills of West Virginia, and their clan has been famous for its bad luck for purt (pure dirt) near 90 years now. But the conniving JIMMY LOGAN (Channing Tatum) decides its time to turn the family's luck around, and with a little help from his friends the Redneck Robbers, he plans and executes a Hillbilly Heist of $14 million from the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Also Channing talked a bit about Logan Lucky in an episode of the Ellen show air yesterday. He was quite happy that he did not have to be in Magic Mike shape for playing a hillbilly.

On Labour Day, Channing didn't get to rest. Here is a photo of him on the set of White House Down. Looking super fit. I wonder if he will have a shirtless scene. Judging from the script, there is no specific requirement for him to take his clothes off. But look at him, he is asking for it ;p



Now Jamie. Someone spotted him at Urban Outfitters (Santa Monica) yesterday. You cannot tell if it's Jamie or not from this shot, but another picture from the same day shows that's probably Jamie. He was giving someone directions. Good boy.

Jamie has filmed two movies (Filth and Snow Piercer) this year. Last week, it was reported he joined Lars Von Trier's pornographic drama Nymphomaniac. As I said before, nowadays I am really not interested in anything with Shia LaBeouf attached to it. A few days ago,  LaBeouf claimed that he sent his sex tape (with his girlfriend) to the director. He thought he got the role because of the tape. Meh... I hope Jamie didn't do the same thing to get into this movie.

I still miss some Chan & Jamie time

I really don't know much about the movie NYMPHOMANIAC. It is supposed to be a hard-core pornographic drama. Shia LaBeouf will show his penis in it and all sexual content in the picture will be real (according to LaBeouf himself). However, on the other hand, the director / writer Lars Von Trier said the sex scenes will be accomplished "with the help of body doubles and visual effects". I only saw Lars Von Trier on Keanu Reeves produced documentary "Side by Side". He is a director from Denmark. I have never seen any of his films, but I am aware of some controversies he caused in the past. Anyway, at this moment, I am not interested in this movie at all, esp. with Shia LaBeouf attached to it.

This week, we just keep hearing good news about Channing. It was just announced that Chan will be a Golden Globe presenter this Sunday. I wonder whom will they pair him with, Rachel McAdams or Jonah Hill? Jonah was norminated this time for his role in Moneyball, so my bet is Jonah. However, The Vow will come out earlier. We shall see. Anyway, we will get more pictures. And probably he will meet Jamie at after parties, who knows? It's nice he gets all the exposures most for his upcoming works, not just his personal life.

I found some new photos at Magic Mile's still photographer - Claudette Barius's web site. She also worked on Haywire. I hope she will post some Magic Mike photos soon.

Channing Tatum will host "Saturday Night Live" on Feb. 4th. Hope more people will know he is more than a pretty face / beef cake. He is a funny man. These days, being a CT fan is a very rewarding experience. I need to set up my DVR.

Channing will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live again. The taping will take place on Jan. 9th. Not sure about the air date. Probably around the time Haywire is in theatres (Jan. 20th). Also on Feb. 9th, Channing will host a free event at constellation.tv to promote The Vow. I assume there will be no IP bloking this time.

Now Jamie. He is involved in the VoteAgainst project. The site will be live this Friday. I am expecting some photos and videos.

A friend pointed to me that Holliday Grainger (Sophia from Merlin S1) is in Jane Eyre (2011). She plays Jamie Bell's character St. John Rivers' sister - Diana Rivers.



March will be a busy month for Jamie. First he will attend The Eagle UK premiere on March 9th. Then Jane Eyre will open on March 11th (in slected theatres). After that, on March 14th, Mr. Bell will celebrate his 25th birthday.

I am really looking forward to The Eagle promotion tour in UK. I assume Channing and Jamie will be on TV and Radio. So hopefully we can see something like this (do click the link, there is an audio interview with Channing, about 17-min long, hilarious).

I also find out that Channing is currently teamimg up with "Shattered Glass" screenwriter Billy Ray and "Alice in Wonderland" producer Joe Roth to shop around a project called "Peter Pan Begins". I remember I watched this interview from Feb. 2010. At that time Channing mentioned he was moved to tears while watching "Finding Neverland". Therefore I guess he has had the Peter Pan idea for some time. Many people assume he will play Pan, but you never know. I think Jamie Bell can be a good candidate for Pan, and Channing can play a younger version of Hook. Not much is known in the way of details, but it is about Pan before Wendy coming into the picture.

Finally, a video about Channing's obsession with Scottish accent. You can hear Channing saying "our clan rose against the romans" (thanks to rainbow_fall). The interview took place in May 2009. I remember they mentioned originally Channing was to play Esca, so I guess that's why he learned Scottish accent. (I still don't know what he said between 0'24" and 0'25" though.)

For people who has HBO, The Eagle: HBO First look will air on HBO 2 at 9:45 pm est. tonight. Also Channing Tatum will be on Ellen this Friday (Feb. 4).

In this article, director Kevin MacDonald talked about how Marcus / Esca relationship changed from the book to the movie. He also answered a question about casting Channing and Jamie.

Volume vs share

TV viewing grew by more than 7% in all time and 6% in peak (7pm-10.30pm).

- BBC1 (incl HD from November) did this best with a 7% increase in volume and a 0.6% decline in share, to finish the year with a 20.9% all-day share.
