Stealth is a series of technologies used to reduce the distances at which an entity can be detected.
Background[edit]
Chinese Stealth Armor was used by both the Crimson Dragoon troops and Black Ghost counterinsurgency squads during the Resource Wars.[1] The armor relies on light modulation technology to render its wearer virtually invisible.[1] The technology of which was the basis of the U.S. military's portable "Stealth Boy" units, discovered after reverse-engineering.[1][2]
In December 2075, the Defense Intelligence Agency's experimental Predictive Analytic Machine concluded that Chinese stealth technology far surpassed that of the United States, and that there was a 91% chance they were engaged in large scale research.[3]
The A-31 and B-19 stations had reported a "Ghost Fleet" in November, and P.A.M. stated that this may indicate research had commenced with submersible vessels.[3] When asked to guess if this was accurate, the robot aborted the machine/human interface, and the inquiring general stated they wouldn't go to the Joint Chiefs unless substantive proof was provided.[3]
Robert Mayflower of RobCo Industries created the Stealth Boy 3001 unit, which generates a modulating field that transmits the reflected light from one side of an object to the other.[4][5] This technology utilizes radiation and can cause mutations.[6]
The Enclave created a Stealth Boy Mark II Prototype, intended to become modulated to use less power and thus last longer. In 2080, the Enclave used the research present at the Fujiniya Intelligence Base to create the Stealth Boy Mark III.[7] The research scientists at Big MT focused on stealth-enhancing properties, resulting in the creation of two prototypes before the war including the Assassin Suit and the Stealth Suit Mk II.

More importantly, this explains why my research into this group of Nightstalkers hasn't come up with a cure for the Nightkin. There's only one avenue left for me - I need to run the Mark II test on Lily. It's the only way."
