Chinese Stealth Armor was Chinese-developed armor, deployed during the Resource Wars.
Gameplay[edit]
Chinese Stealth Armor was used by both the Crimson Dragoon troops and Black Ghost counterinsurgency squads during the Resource Wars.[1] The armor relies on light modulation technology to render its wearer virtually invisible.[1] The technology of which was the basis of the U.S. military's portable "Stealth Boy" units, discovered after reverse-engineering.[1][2]

Notes[edit]
- NCR forces found and later misplaced two suits in a Hoover Dam storeroom containing radioactive waste. A terminal on the same level mentions the suits, and are marked as owned, incurring Karma loss when taken.[3]
- Several parts of the Chinese stealth armor can be seen around the X-13 Research Facility in Big MT.
Behind the Scenes[edit]
- Chinese Stealth Armor was planned for inclusion in Van Buren.
- In Sawyer's unofficial Fallout TTRPG, the Hei Gui Armor is described as the following:[4]
Hei Gui Armor (Body/Head)
Ingredients: ???
Tech Level: 9
Ballistic: ??? Bio: ??? Electric: ??? EMP: ??? Hard: ??? Heat: ???
The Chinese solution to invasion by U.S. forces in power armor was its Hei Gui stealth armor, worn by elite Chinese “Black Ghost” counterinsurgency/terror units. Not much was known about this armor, save that it had active camouflage systems as well as technology that enhanced reflexes and heightened perception. Hei Gui technology was the basis for the unstable “Stealth Boy” wrist units developed in the U.S.
