Look, I know it's an open door, but it's like a... philosophically open door, okay? Get the hell out.

Marowski is the owner of Hotel Rexford in Goodneighbor in Fallout 4. He also appears in Fallout Shelter Online.

Background[edit]

Marowski runs a chem manufacturing and distribution operation from Hotel Rexford in Goodneighbor. He was once the most feared man in Goodneighbor and states that he was close to running the town.[1][2] His establishment, Hotel Rexford, flowed with high-end chems, beautiful clients and threw lavish parties in its prime,[3] being the "center of everything in [the] neighborhood."[4] However, twenty years ago, an event known as "The Marowski Heist" took place, wherein Marowski's chem warehouse in Quincy was raided completely by Henry Cooke, Malcom Latimer and Paul Pembroke,[5][6][7] who used the score to better themselves.[8][9]

Unaware of the perpetrators, Marowski issued a large bounty on them, though never found out their true identities.[6][5] Following this, he considered his plans of running Goodneigbor ruined and was left with Hotel Rexford.[2][10] Bobbi No-Nose exploited Marowski's situation to "muscle in" on his operations,[2] now having to pay a cut of "whatever [he] can scrape together" to Bobbi.[2] He employs Fred Allen to produce various chems in the basement of Hotel Rexford,[11][12] such as Jet, Buffout, Mentats and Psycho,[13][14][15][16] as well as medicinal drugs such as Rad-X, RadAway and Stimpaks.[13][14]

Marowski also possesses a secret chem lab located at the Four Leaf Fishpacking Plant ran by an all Ghoul crew and masked by ferals.[17][18] The lab produces the bulk of Marowski's chems and houses his entire stash.[19][20] Marowski's associate, Trish, is responsible for organizing chem deals,[21] and regularly does business with Henry Cooke and Nelson Latimer,[21] with the former making the arrangements and the latter fronting the money.[22] The chems are then smuggled into Diamond City to bypass Mayor McDonough's chem tax, providing the city with a cheap source of chems.[22]

Descriptions[edit]

Marowski is a famous apothecary and party animal in Goodneighbor. Although he looks less tough these years, Marowski actually still controls most underground drug trades in the Commonwealth. Better not mess with Marowski, because he is far more dangerous than he appears.Fallout Shelter Online Character Descriptions

  1. Marowski: "I know I'm not exactly the most feared man in Goodneighbor nowadays, but would you just leave? Trying to work here."
    (Marowski's dialogue)
  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 Sole Survivor: "Why is this such a big deal to you?"
Marowski: "Because whoever did this ruined my life. I was on my way to running this whole town. Bobbi took advantage of my situation to muscle in on my operations. Now look at me. Stuck in this shithole, having to pay Bobbi a cut of whatever I can scrape together."
    (Marowski's dialogue)
  3. Sole Survivor: "Who owns this place?"
Clair Hutchins: "Mister Marowski. You should have seen him in his day. This place used to be flowing with high-end chems, beautiful clients, and ooh.. the parties. But now he just stews in the back office and disgraces his parents' memory. I swear if they knew how far he's fallen, they'd die all over again. So why don't you rent a room before I get worked up?"
    (Clair Hutchins' dialogue)
  4. Fred Allen: "Hey Clair. You knew the boss in his heyday, right? What was it like working for a big shot?"
Clair Hutchins: "Well, I didn't have to deal with incompetency, for one."
Fred Allen: "There she is. The ice queen cometh! Warm up a little, Clair. I was just asking."
Clair Hutchins: "Fred. This hotel used to be the center of everything in this neighborhood. That's all gone now. How is bringing that up going to 'warm me"'to you, exactly?"
Fred Allen: "Ah, okay, you... got a point there. Sorry."
(Clair Hutchins and Fred Allen's dialogue)
  5. 5.0 5.1 Sole Survivor: "Hey, did you ever catch the guys that stole all those chems from you 20 years ago?"
Marowski: "Are you jerking my chain? Everybody knows I never caught those guys. But don't think I've given up. I won't ever give up. Why? You know something about that?"
    (Marowski's dialogue)
  6. 6.0 6.1 Sole Survivor: "Why don't you tell me what's so interesting about this."
Darcy Pembroke: "Oh my god. You really don't know. You're not from around here, are you? That's Marowski's old chem warehouse in Quincy. Back when he was the biggest gangster around... 20 years ago. Somebody knocked over his warehouse and took everything. Marowski put out a huge bounty on whoever did it, but never caught them. I had no idea that Paul was in on the Marowski heist. My Paul! I can't believe it."
    (Darcy Pembroke's dialogue)
  7. Sole Survivor: "What did you find?"
Darcy Pembroke: "This old photograph. Here, take a look."
Sole Survivor: "That's Paul with Henry Cooke and Malcolm Latimer when they were younger."
Darcy Pembroke: "Exactly. And do you know what they're standing in front of?"
    (Darcy Pembroke's dialogue)
  8. Sole Survivor: "So how do you go from the Marowski Heist to running a bar?"
Henry Cooke: "I have many layers. Seriously though, I used that score to buy the Taphouse. Nice steady income, much less chance of getting your head blown off by some stimmed-out asshole."
    (Henry Cooke's dialogue)
  9. Sole Survivor: "How did you get involved in something like the Marowski Heist?"
Malcom Latimer: "You wouldn't know it to look at me now, but I grew up a Lower. I ran with a rough crowd back then. But, unlike some, I made something of myself. I took my share of the Marowski Heist and now, I practically run Diamond City."
    (Malcom Latimer's dialogue)
  10. Sole Survivor: "Tell me more about this Marowski character."
Clair Hutchins: "Why bother? He's worthless. The other big names caught him with his pants down, and now he just has this ratty hotel. That's the way Goodneighbor operates. The strong make it to the top, until someone stronger kicks them down. Now are you buying this room? Or not?"
    (Clair Hutchins' dialogue)
  11. Clair Hutchins: "We're going to have a conversation with Mister Marowski about your conduct. Again."
Fred Allen: "What? Ah come on, Clair, what'd I do this time?"
Clair Hutchins: "It's what you're not doing. You're supposed to stay in that lab of yours making those chems."
Fred Allen: "The air's nicer up here in the lobby. Besides, don't you like having my smiling company?"
    Clair Hutchins: "No. I don't."
(Clair Hutchins and Fred Allen's dialogue)
  12. Marowski: "What? You got an itch or somethin'? Talk to my associate, Fred Allen. Our selection ain't what it used to be, but the boy makes a decent chem."
    (Marowski's dialogue)
  13. 13.0 13.1 Sole Survivor: "What other kinds of chems do you have?"
Fred Allen: "Well, you got your 'medicinal' shit. Rad-X and Radaway for radiation sickness. Hey, do you think that's why they call it Rad-X? That's far out... Mentats are for the science-y types, you know, eggheads looking for a boost to solve big problems. Buffout's for the muscle men. Fuck, just try it all, is what I say."
    (Fred Allen's dialogue)

  15. Sole Survivor: "What's Jet?"
Fred Allen: "You don't know? It's the best! It just... hypercharges everything. Like you got the speed of ten men in one inhaler."
    (Fred Allen's dialogue)
  16. Fred Allen: "Ah, man, someone new! You need some Jet, man. Homebrewed. Reasonable prices."
Fred Allen: "Hey, before you head out, need a pick-me-up? Buffout? Mentats?"
Fred Allen: "Anyway, did you want to pick anything up? Homebrewed chems right here."
    (Fred Allen's dialogue)
  17. Sole Survivor: "What's your word worth? You were ready to give up Marowski's secret lab to save your skin."
Trish: "You already got everything you wanted! I swear, after I leave here, I've never heard of you in my life. I'll tell Marowski it was the Gunners. He'll never come looking for you, I promise."
    (Trish's dialogue
  18. Trish: "The place is overrun with feral ghouls. Which don't even look twice at my crew, 'cause they're all ghouls like me. My idea, by the way."
    (Trish's dialogue
  19. Sole Survivor: "What's at this chem lab?"
Trish: "More chems than you can imagine. Marowski's entire stash! But you'll never find it without my help."
    (Trish's dialogue
  20. Sole Survivor: "Keep talking."
Trish: "Where do you think these chems come from? We've got a lab, right here in the Commonwealth. But you'll never find it on your own. Not without my help."
    (Trish's dialogue
  21. 21.0 21.1 Cooke's Note
  22. 22.0 22.1 Sole Survivor: "Why smuggle chems into Diamond City? Chems aren't illegal here."
Henry Cooke: "Sure, but Mayor McDonough takes a big cut of all the chems brought into town. Not everybody thinks that's good business. That's where me and Nelson come in. He fronts the cash, I make the arrangements. Cheap chems for Diamond City. Everybody wins."
    (Henry Cooke's dialogue)
